Go on and tell the girl
Who: Allen Walker and Bulla Brief
Where: Training Gym Carriage
When: Day before mission
What: Allen and Bulla start training, which leads into a confession on Allen's part.
Warnings: Allen being a dork. You have been warned.
Allen always enjoyed going to the training carriages and today was no exception. A mission was potentially coming up, so he knew that he had to train so that he was more than ready for it.
But first thing first, Allen had made the choice this time to keep his shirt on while training, even if the polo shirt was not the best thing to do it in. With that in mind, the young man starts by doing some simple stretched. It was better to warm up after all.

One thing she is grateful for is the wardrobe capsule that wound up in her rucksack, saving her from being stuck with nothing more than the train uniforms.
She's got a set of leggings and a tank top on for their training session.
"Hey Allen!" she says, greeting him with a wave. "Ready to train, or do you need a couple more minutes to stretch first?"

Once he realized he might have been quiet for a little to long he turned his head away slightly.
"What do you think we should start with?"
no subject
Well, perhaps she won't go all out as far as hitting him with her full strength. She's fighting to win, not to seriously harm him. But she knows Allen can take more than a normal human, and that she's one of the few people who will be able to take what he can dish out.
"We're supposed to be rescuing people when the train stops somewhere, right? So we should make sure we're at our best."

It was a good way to learn at least to him.
"It depends on the world. We help them and sometimes that might be required like one world I went to we had to be escorts and deal with whatever tried to attack." That was at least one of the things.
"But I find there is also always a fight of somekind." Once he moved to stand in a position he was pretty much ready to go. "Should we just start or count down?"

She wants this to be as fair as it can be, with the differences in their abilities. Even if in a real life situation, enemies would attack at any time, this is sparring with a friend, where rules like 'someone loses when they're down for ten seconds' can exist.
"Ready? One...two...three!"
That's all the warning Allen gets before she's on the attack, moving in to aim a sweeping kick at his ankles.

So when she was on the move his first reaction was to at least backflip away, using what aerobatics he knew to do so. Once his feet landed on the ground, he spun around to aim a kick of his own

Hitting the floor he took a moment after losing his breath briefly, but once that was back he rolled in order to get up and for the moment his focus going to be on defense.

It was maybe four to five hits before he attempted to dodge and only barely managed to do so. But within the short time span after he used that time to attempt to aim a hit himself, but soon found himself pausing for a brief moment and soon changed it to a kick.

(ooc: Sorry for the delay! If she succeeds in pinning him, maybe this would be a good time for Allen's confession?)

Well he figured that was honestly how it was going to end, and he had known where he massively messed up. But with the free arm he had he choose to tap the ground as a way to call it.
"You win," he said laughing slightly. "I should have just done what I was going to, but you noticed a weakness and went for it." He knew what the cause was as he turned his head to the side, figuring that honestly, she will probably ask about that. "Sorry about that... I had something on my mind."

She was almost nose to nose with him before it occurred to her to back up and give him some personal space, but she still continued to sit on him.
Allen was sometimes evasive, and while she didn't want to push him too much, they were alone. If there was something he needed to talk about, this seemed like a good time. Privacy wasn't so easy to come by on a train that traversed through the multiverse.

Did he make any progress. Maybe.
Has Allen suddenly turned his head away and trying to hide the back that he knows that really he now has to say because there was really no way out of it and he felt awkward? Yes. Yes, he did. He was also slightly red in the face to.
"Ma-Maybe it would be better if you weren't sitting on me though."

"Oh! Sorry!"
She sprang to her feet, offering Allen a hand up.

But as soon as he was free he moved to get up, still a little flustered. But after a couple of small breathes and trying to at least get himself into the right mindset and having a level head, he finally spoke.
"I've... been thinking a lot lately and I will admit I admire you a lot. But recently I somehow by some miracle clocked onto the fact that I may be confusing admiration for something akin to a crush."
Though he knew he did admire her, he could see where he could get the two confused. Feelings are complicated for someone who generally never really had much in terms of love till Mana and then expanded upon with friends, but he once again took a small breath, he was oddly calm for the moment when before he seemed a lot more awkward.
"I was never planning on saying anything honestly because your friendship means a lot to me and I didn't want to lose that. I still honestly don't even if this is possible very one sided." At least it was out of the way at least.
"If you want to keep away, that's fine I would understand completely but... I guess I did need to get it off my chest."
no subject
"I'm not going to avoid you, Allen. Your friendship is important to me and you helped me feel better when I was most in need of a friend."
Honestly, it took a lot of guts to come out and say all of this, and while she didn't know exactly how to answer, she was going to do her best to give him the most honest one she could.
"I'll admit I did have a crush on you back in Genessia for a while but you had so much on your plate at the time so I kind just let it go? I didn't want to wreck our friendship and I didn't think you were interested in me like that. Maybe you weren't back then."
After all, he'd only talked about it on the network when she was here. Maybe without the debt looming over him or the responsibilities of a deputy-guardian, he had more time and energy to consider the difference between how he looked at her versus his other female friends.
"I need to figure out how I feel now. But I promise, our friendship isn't in any danger."

But as she spoke again, that relief turned into confusion but mostly due to the fact that he honestly wasn't expecting what she just said and it leading to him wondering a few more questions himself and embarrassment at the fact he was rather clueless about it.
The embarrassment won out though and he couldn't help but feel guilty to.
"Yeah... sorry about that. I admit, I don't know if I did or not during that time mostly because... love of the romantic sense was never something I ever experienced personally or understood at that point. " he had moved to put a hand behind his head awkwardly.
"I guess I can at least blame my past on that one." he chuckled slightly even if it was just so he could feel less awkward.
"But I'll give you the time to figure things out and... sorry again."
