Alice would use the word zombies, but it's not quite as popular of a concept yet where she comes from.
"Sometimes those people disappear from the train for a while first, only to reappear like that and leave. Other times they're people who have been around until that very morning. It's impossible to predict who may walk off the train like that on any given platform stop."
.. Maybe not the most reassuring information ever, huh. But Alice says it all with a calm tone, like it's just commonplace to her now.
