Land, resources, blood feuds, what gods they're worshipping that day, a particularly attractive mortal woman... seems contradictory, if you ask me.
So Lord Uncle Poseidon gets to decide what a continent is? Doesn't he take over land sometimes too, like with typhoons and such? Or does that not matter because of the tides? I'm not really sure how the surface world works, so, forgive me if I'm getting my story wrong.
