[Between their first impromptu training session and the mission stop over, Vegeta and Trunks had managed to organize a mostly consistent schedule for training, short of a sudden mission or other event popping up. Three times a week, blocking in a time slot to get the room alone so to limit injury to others. Though even with their arranged time Vegeta will always try and sneak in time before and after their training, taking any chance to have the training gym empty, so by the time Trunks has gotten there Vegeta has already warmed up as much as he can for the session.]

[Vegeta been more hesitant in training with Bulla. He knows it’s hypocritical of him, compared how he had trained up Trunks in the beginning, and while he’s lessened up on forcing him to, he still tries to encourage his young son to spend time doing so. He and Goku won’t be around forever. All the kids, from Gohan to Bulla and Pan would have to be ready for whatever headed Earth’s way in the future. It however still doesn’t stop his brain worried about hurting Bulla during training. He knows she should be fine, she’s his daughter after all and she’s talked about how she’s had practice in training.

He would just have to see what she can do and what she’s capable of doing, thus setting up a time for them as well through the week to help her push through those barriers surrounding super saiyan.]

[Of all the first chores he could had gotten upon arriving... Vegeta’s not a great cook. He can do the basics, having learned them since being on Earth, but for the most he’s much more interested in the eating side than the preparing side. Even then food for them was typically either prepared by Bulma’s mother or ordered, neither of them were much for cooking themselves. So teammates or those relying on Red Team to meal prep shouldn’t be expecting much help from him. He is at least willing to play his part and try and help out, so give him the bare basics to do and he will do them, he can follow instructions but… don’t expect actual full meals from him.

Or for him to not do it without complaining, which most in the kitchen while find him grumbling over having to do such during Red Team's kitchen rotation.]

[Trunks himself was in the training gym every day; given his schedule he wondered sometimes if he should just sleep in the training gym. So it was extremely rare to find it empty, often involving weird timing too. Trunks was aware his father was training alone when he could too, which in his mind meant his father had probably found even more weird times to train.

But he was glad they'd been able to decide on this. Trunks liked helping others, and loved training with Cassie. But none of them were a challenge in the way he wanted. Maybe needed too, given how his first spar with his father had gone.

Trunks had only cooled down enough to get a quick wash-down in, before he showed up too. He already spent most of his time in the training gym, so was as warmed up as he was going to get.]

Even apart from the times Cassie spends sparring with a partner, or training under Piccolo, she spends a lot of time in the gym on her own. Conditioning is always an important thing to maintain, above and beyond skill.

She'll work the speed bag to practice her footwork, and do strength training, mostly against her own muscles. Normal weights are starting to do a good deal less good for her now.

She turns her head and nods in acknowledgment as a familiar figure enters.

[ It's not Madoka's turn to make food at all. But even so, she can't quite help but stick her head into the kitchen from time to time regardless. She's a helpful little thing, after all, and she at least knows that cooking is something she can do pretty well.

(And that some people on the red team may find a bit more of a challenge in, though she's polite enough to never say such a thought out loud.)

And this time when she's looking in the kitchen, she spots a familiar face. Judging by the grumbling, it's a face struggling with this whole cooking thing too. So after hesitating for a moment or two - he's still very, very intimidating! - Madoka does slowly approach him. ]

Um.. Mister Vegeta? Is everything okay?

[Vegeta doesn't bother with using any of the equipment in the gym, just the space itself. Even if they are indestructible items he finds little point of them. A real target didn't just stay still and took a hit, nor moved like a punching bag when struck. Over all it was a poor replacement for an actual sparring partner, so he instead is just working on his form against an invisible opponent while waiting for his son.

And at least Trunks is punctual and doesn't waste time, something Vegeta can appreciate even if he has much more time on his hands stuck here than back home. True, back home most of his time would be taken up by training, but that's certainly more limited with how many others wanted to do the same in the same space. And much to his frustration.] Are you ready? [Vegeta hasn't paused yet in his own mock fighting, waiting to hear an answer before he does so.]

Vegeta was becoming more accustomed to having to share the training space with others. He doesn't like it, but he's getting more used to it. He's always had his own space before this, or only shared it with typically one other person. Being forced into this situation just went against every habit he had with training, as well as the constant reminder he had to be extra careful to not cause harm to others that shared the same space. The train may be able to take the force (not that he has tested it yet) but most others here couldn't.

Vegeta gives Cassie a brief nod back in greeting as he moves to the far side of the gym from her, placing himself far enough away from the walls and other items to allow his ki presence to not damage anything once he gets going. He's not planning to go anywhere near to full out, but just the most basic training can get it raised enough to at least be felt like a pressure, even if not used offensively. She... he assumes should be safe with it, considering she's training with Trunks, and while he doesn't believe his son goes full out on her he can only assume he's been training her up to being able to withstand more damage. Or as much as a human can.

She can withstand it well enough. She's even able to keep going with what she's doing for long enough to finish her next reps.

But really, it's curiosity more than anything else that makes her stop and watch for a little. It is a little hard not to notice.

[Vegeta is well aware how he comes off to most, even if not intending to, and even if he has improved vastly over the years with tolerating others. He is still a very angry person, just able to channel it better and at more suitable targets than before, and he at least tries now to get along with others. Yet it still doesn't stop that fact he does look like he has a permanent scowl on his face, it only emphasized more when he actually is annoyed with something, which right now was reading over the new food suggestion ideas. He just does not get cooking. Has tried to but... it really hold no interest at all for him.

He's concentrating but also muttering to himself enough that he doesn't realize Madoka's entered the room until she speaks, his attention turning to her and that annoyed expression still there, even if it's not created by or aimed at her.]

It's fine. [Was his immediate answer, a bit of a snap to that tone. Then realizing that she didn't deserve it and, well, being honest may help more in this situation. Vegeta... doesn't like to show any weakness, and having a lack of knowledge on something counter as that for him. Just because he knows he's no good at food prep doesn't mean he likes to admit he is not good at it, at least beyond the basics. He could feed himself and his kids if needed, but nothing that was close to the meals they were used to having.

So with a bit of a 'hmph' to himself, Vegeta let out a huff of a sigh before forcing that previous tone out of his next words.] I'm not good at cooking.

While he isn't expecting that much from her with being human... he is still kind of curious to find out what Cassie pushed to her limits looked like. Humans could be very surprising when their back was against a wall or had something serious they were fighting for. And, well, since she is training with his son, Vegeta is curious as to why Trunks had taken her on as a student. Well... he can guess a reason, but Trunks didn't strike him as with that intent. He's guessing it was more a case of wanting to help people.

Even if Vegeta's aware of her watching, he pays her no mind; not bothering to use any of the gear in the gym bar just giving himself enough space to move. The routine he starts with is a very old and well practiced one, one he had created as a child and continued to improve throughout his life. It was always a good warm up, and a good reminder of how far he had come over his life. And how limited his thinking had been back then, before arriving on Earth. However Cassie will note there's times during it, when it looked like it was going smoothly, that Vegeta would stop, go back a step, and repeat, with the slightest change to it. A degree or two change to an angle, a slight weight change between feet, all minor adjustments that some would think is pointless, but Vegeta's aware of the importance of training out those errors so not to repeat them again.

[ Madoka seems to wince a little at the way he snaps like that. It's hard for her to tell whether it's because of her - if it's his way of telling her to butt out of his business or something like that - or if it's because of something else.

Thankfully it's cleared up a bit by the second time he speaks up, preventing the girl from outright trying to flee or something.

Instead her expression turns to understanding. A shy kind of understanding, but understanding all the same. ]

Ah.. I'm sorry. It's kind of tough that the train doesn't think about how some people may be better at certain chores than others, huh..?

[ But if he's not good at cooking, yet is still attempting to do so.. That's kind of admirable in Madoka's eyes.

(Or maybe his wife pushed him to do it? Piccolo did seem to kind of imply she has quite a hold over Vegeta..) ]

... Um.

[ The next part, however, comes with a bit more hesitation before the young girl manages to voice it. ]

If.. you want, I could help give you some tips.. [ Madoka is a pretty good cook, after all. Despite her age. She's had to learn a lot here. ] Or if you don't want to cook at all, you could switch chores with me. I-- I wouldn't mind..

Well, then. Cassie's never been one to stand far from the fire. She turns her attention back to her own exercises and starts to cut loose a bit, pushing against the flexible barrier that stands between her and the full extent of her inner power. With every motion, her body glows, as she pours shadow energy into her every intent.

She won't go to exhaustion like she does against Trunks, but she's pushing her limits just the same.

Do you honestly think I'd be here if I wasn't?

[Okay, maybe a hint of cockiness in his voice. But Trunks really was here to learn from, and train with Vegeta. It hadn't been like that Year, when he'd found him in the middle of the night. Time to see if that still held.]

[That attitude gets a hint of a smirk from Vegeta, a slight upturn of one corner of his mouth and he's actually happy to hear it. It's too easy for Trunks to be reserved and quiet, so to know that attitude was hidden in there somewhere was good. A good fighter needed a drive to push through, to not hold back, not with the amount of potential he had.] Then let's see it. [A change in his footing as the kicking Vegeta was aiming to his 'opponent' instead switching direction to launch himself at Trunks.]

Don't go super saiyan! [Vegeta barked out as a follow up order. He wanted to work through correcting those errors in Trunks' base form first, and also to teach him not to fully rely on transforming. Against the strongest opponents? Yes, it was needed. But flaws from their base forms would only be emphasized in a stronger, faster form.]

[...if Vegeta ever finds out that Piccolo is going around talking about him like that then he was going to need to have words with the Namekian. Even if it was true... but in this case it was more that Vegeta was aware he should help out, especially considering the amount of food he consumes. It's only fair to try and help out, he guesses.]

I can do basics, [He admits, looking back to the recipes rather than to her, it easier to open up a little if he's not saying it directly to another person.] Like... rice and heating stuff up. [But he's also been seeing others doing more and actually using the chosen ingredient of the time, however that was freaking picked by the train or whoever was doing that. Also he would actually like to eat stuff he's used to back home, he's gotten rather used to having access to good and abundant amounts of food. However, Vegeta does take a moment to consider her offer, then,] No. I'll eventually be rotated back to this chore again at a later date so that would only be avoiding it until the next time. [However it was a tempting offer.]

[ His reasoning for not wanting to switch makes logical sense. And really.. even if it didn't, Madoka just isn't the kind of girl to be pushy about this thing. If he feels a bit more comfortable attempting this than avoiding it, then of course she'll let him.

Though she's still thinking, pressing her fingers together a little. ]

I don't think it's too bad if you can only do the basics.. Maybe you could find someone to team up with instead. So you can make the basics, and then they can add stuff to it. Then it'd be less work for them too.. [ At least until he's been able to learn how to make more. Surely there's got to be at least one good cook on the red team, right? ]

While Vegeta will always try and stay focused on his own form and training, even with others sharing the same space... he is more and more curious as she continues. His gaze to her as his routine continued, but more running on muscle memory than trying to work on improving it as he watches her, trying to work out just what was going on. Was that a form of ki? It didn't look quite the same as those he recognizes from the fighters back in his universe, but it was clearly still a form of energy. Maybe that god fighting form he had heard about her.

He's curious if his god form would trigger it. True, it was called a 'god' form by the Saiyans, or at least what Shenron had told them since it hadn't been a legend Vegeta had even heard about in his childhood, but it certainly wasn't at the level close to Beerus. Yet.

Eventually he decides just to come out and just ask rather than silently questioning it, "What is that form?"

Cassie steps back from the training dummy, letting herself cool down a little as she answers him.

"Shadow energy," she says. "It's a form of qi my bloodline is able to tap into. With the training I've been doing here, I've learned how to focus it into every move I make. When I do that it elevates my strength and lets me push past the barrier that separates me from my god-fighting form.

"It only bends my limit, it doesn't break it. And it takes a lot of energy to keep it up. But it gives me something extra."

[Bulla shows up in the ship issued clothing, with a tank top underneath the hoodie just in case she gets overheated. The clothes aren't stylish, and they're not something she'd want to wear socially, but for being pushed at training? They're perfect because that means she doesn't have to worry about damaging something she actually likes, and she is going to try to go all out for as long as she can keep up the transformation.]

Thanks for agreeing to train with me, Dad.

[Which might sound funny, considering how hard training with him can be, but now that she's gained the transformation, and being able to go super has saved her life on more than one occasion, she's motivated. She wants to see just how far she can go. Maybe not to the obsessive level of training he engages in - she values her social life and hobbies too much to be quite so dedicated. It's still considerably more motivated than she used to be.]

Should I start off super, or do you want to see the moves I learned in other multiverses first?

[Trunks blinked--he'd been about to, but he stopped the transformation. Not bothering to hide then, as he through a few punch-kick combos at Vegeta. Giving it his all even if he wasn't transforming, too. He was serious.]

[...that was a good point. It did however feel like only half doing a job though. And Vegeta wouldn't mind learning how to cook. He's never really needed to before, but it would be nice to be able to make stuff as needed. It certainly was better than just eating raw items.

Also, Vegeta turns his attention fully on her as he speaks,] You said you knew how to cook? [Confirming what she had said just before, taking a moment to consider it before sliding over the particular recipe he was looking at, it being the avocado and strawberry dessert that the train had suggested for the month.] It looks like this should be simple, but it ends up not tasting any good.

There was that term again: 'god-fighting form'. Vegeta won't lie, he wants to see it tested, to see firstly if his god forms would trigger it, and then if she could counter it. He had been waiting until they got to a suitable location to let loose, to not have to worry about damaging anything or hurting others around them.

But he can't help himself.

For Cassie it would just seem as if he's one side of the room one moment, and the next his fist has stopped right in front of her face, just short of hitting her. For him he had shifted into his god form for a fraction of a second, using it's extra speed to cross the room and dropping it again just before he reached her. He wasn't trying to hurt her, not trying to ping any ki sensers that he had changed forms, just to use the form's benefits to see what would happen.

It's a fraction of an instant. Not enough for anything to happen. But somehow enough for just enough to happen. For just a moment, her energy sensing seems to become far more acute. She can feel the...absent presence of the God form, despite Vegeta not being in it long enough to be seen.

She isn't glowing when Vegeta arrives. But for just a fraction of a fraction of a moment, the air seems to bend around the space that Cassie occupies. And her hand is waiting in front of her face, right in front of his approaching fist.

Whether it would have done her any good is an open question, of course. One to which even Cassie expects the answer would be "no." Still, even she seems a little surprised with herself right now.
