"Oh. Okay." Dyme could take this all in stride. He'd had much worse experiences with people leaving and new versions of them arriving, after all.

Smiling warmly, he continued, "My name's Dyme. I kind of met you before, but we didn't know each other for long, so I guess we get to start over."

After a moment, he added, "That kind of thing happens here, for some reason. People leave and then they come back but they're not the same as they were the first time." He shrugged. "It's confusing."
