Sanzo priests are protectors.
"I've heard there was a murder on the train early on, long before I was brought here. Apparently the murderer was tortured afterwards by some of the other passengers. Or one other passenger? I'm not clear on the details."
He's not terribly concerned about it. If he ever chooses to kill someone, he can handle the consequences. What's more scars on a body that's made of them?
