happyends: (better than the rest)

It shouldn't be surprising. And in a way, it isn't. But hearing that response after what Madoka herself said, even after the other girl dropped a bit of silence first.. It makes Madoka silent in turn, unsure of how to react. Is it really okay to just dismiss the entire rest of the conversation like that? Is this just Kyoko's way of saying she doesn't want to talk about it?

Gosh, Madoka right now is wishing so hard that she could have gotten to know the other girl better back home before everything escalated even more rapidly than before. Where is Mami when you need her, please help.. Please provide some Kyoko knowledge..

"Um.. no.." Madoka finally says, visibly awkward. Fretting with the hem of her hoodie as she speaks. "B-But we can go grab some from the kitchen, if you want..?" Is this the right thing to do. Is this an okay compromise. Look, she can drop the topic! She's doing it!
