3 Kazoo - Adult Ballroom Social and Epic Kids' Game Night

You've seen the flyers. You've heard the announcements. You've ordered additional party reinforcements if you wanted them. Some of you have even helped her to prepare. And now it's finally here - the Adult Ballroom Social that she's been planning these many, many week-and-a-half.

But you wouldn't know it only took that long to throw it together. She's gone all out for this one. Including the wardrobe that's been opened up, there are four cars that have been set aside for tonight. The main ballroom floor is in the non-training gym, which has been cleared and decorated for the occasion. The music is being piped in from the music car, where it's still playing for those who would prefer a more intimate and private setting. Meanwhile, the game room has been set out for the kids who would otherwise be left out of this adult and near-adult event.

Wardrobe/Pregaming

The train throws open the wardrobe a couple hours before the event starts. It's full of formal clothes for all sizes, species, and genders from all manner of different worlds.

Some of it might look…a little weird. But weird or normal, you will find something to wear.

Or perhaps you've picked out your clothes in advance already and are working on putting them on in your own room. Either way, we bet you look pretty. Come have a look, won't we?

Ballroom Dancing

The ballgame gym has been cleared of all loose sporting equipment and debris, and decorated with tasteful ribbons and other miscellany. Two bluetooth speakers have been set up next to Cassie's SCA device, linked to the music car jukebox with a fine playlist full of slow jams and classics.

The dance floor is a clearly delineated section of the room, with plenty of room for multiple couples to stand abreast dancing. All couples are welcome.

Snacks, Libations, and Mingling

On the other side of the ballroom is a table, stocked with adult beverages and small plates of polite finger food. Here any wallflowers, singletons, or couples who just aren't dancing at the moment can congregate and talk amongst themselves.

Here you will find your gracious hostess, dressed to the nines and looking sexy as hell. She's brought her arm candy with her, of course. She is absolutely determined to make them the prettiest couple at this dance.

Blind Dates

Well, you asked for it, you got it. The pairings and invitations are announced on a flyer taped to the door of the gym car, as well as a very brief text ICP announcement.

Cassie's not too nervous about most of these pairings. But she certainly does have apologies on offer for the person who ended up with a certain blue someone.

Music Car

It's less decorated than the main ballroom, but the music is still playing here on the first floor of the music car. There's plenty of space, too, for those who want a setting that's a little quieter, less crowded, and more intimate. Or for anyone who feels like picking up a guitar and playing something.

Gaming Car - Kids' Party

Because it wouldn't be fair to leave the kids out, the gaming car has been set up for the best kids' game night possible. Board games, card games, and video games have all been set up in different corners of the room, with a truly epic snack and sweet drink spread set out for all to enjoy.

Anyone who'd care to chaperone, or just likes games and kids, is equally welcome here.

Wardrobe

Entrapta has decided to actually dress up even if she's being incredibly modest with a pantsuit and long black gloves and some lace up sensible dress shoes. It's not really any more revealing than what she'd wear casually. But it's enough, it's formal and makes her look a little more well-kept, and it's what she might need to do back home when she's actually having to engage with ceremonies rather than sitting them out or playing observer.

One thing, though.

She approaches someone capable-looking near her after changing. "Can you help me get these ribbons around my hair?" She points to where her pigtails are bound at the base. "I can't see."

Snacks

See, tiny food. This is her jam! And it's made specifically to be tiny. Worth it! Worth dressing up. Worth showing up.

She's having the decency to fill up a plate full of tiny wares so she can try a little bit of everything, making a happy noise every time anything is a little bit cute because it's the best. Look at it! It's great!

"I'm so glad that they went all out!" Tiny food is going all out. Not massive ice sculptures or decorations for days. Nope. Tiny food.

Wardrobe

Yondu just kind of wants to look nice. He doesn't really give a damn about a formal event, figures he'll just wander anyway. But he's never really had an excuse to dress up and look nice in his whole damn life, with things that aren't made for fightin' or cheap or what the hell ever.

Maybe it's not great that he found something that brings out his eyes considering what color his eyes are compared to his complexion. But whatever. Someone who's used to slumming it his whole life is being given the chance to look nice and he's going to take it.

Though he might be caught looking at his reflection and occasionally trying to hide the scarred half of his face, just wondering what he'd look like if he wasn't all marked up. It's not a huge deal, but he's never been this dressed up before.

Mingle

Professional wallflower hanging around. Yondu lingers around the table for a bit. He'll probably eventually retreat to the music car or something, or just fuck off entirely. But, hell, he's curious. All the parties he's been witness to have involved exuberant Ravagers and this is Not It.

He can't tell if it's calming or boring as hell. But at least there's food.

The hostess is quite glad to be in earshot of that remark. She beams.

"Thanks! We did our best to impress everybody."

"Oh! Hi!"

She trots over with her little plate of little foods, practically beaming. "I started looking into the properties of chi energy after we met! It's super interesting. I still haven't met Piccolo but I did hang out with a priest who knew something for a little while."

Just happily conversing and filling her in.

For Trunks

Cassie has needed a little help getting her dress on. Fortunately, she didn't need to ask anybody - she had a little helper willing to give her a claw or two. With Emma's help, she'd managed to fit into it beautifully.

There's a full length mirror set up in her room. She uses this to make her final adjustments, apply her makeup, and put all the finishing touches on her appearance. As the host of this party, she wants to look as good as possible.

Particularly since she's expecting someone to be waiting outside her door...

Cassie's smile widens. "It is cool, isn't it? I've learned so much here. And met a lot of cool people."

She takes a sip of her drink. She thinks her tone makes it clear that she considers present company to be one of those cool people.

"I know! I've met some really great people here." Entrapta isn't emotionally keen enough to realize she's being referred to. But she's happy to agree. "I've seen a lot of excellent fighters, too! I'm going to talk to some people about building some enhanced training services in the gym, it would help in my research too. Can I monitor your practice sometime?"

She has to check, anxious for more useful data and honestly Cassie sounds like she's very talented!

Casper had laughed when he'd spotted who he'd been paired with. Of course. He showed up to the dance in a light blue suit, his hair combed a little bit. Bob rode on his shoulder with a little bow tie in the same color, not tied very tightly. It'd probably dome off during the evening, but that was better than choking him.

He looked around for Prompto, not quite sure where to meet up with him... ah, there weren't that many people. He'd find him.
