It's something of a mutual startle - Ghost isn't so zoned out that he didn't feel someone coming, exactly, but he didn't expect her to bump into him. Luckily, this time his startle response is just a pulling back of his torso and half-a-step of his feet, which on the whole is not that bad.

"Guess that's me, yeah," he says, which is from his phone rather than his mouth (which is, instead, giving her a weak-and-awkward smile). "I'm going to take a wild guess and assume you're Persephone."

The pink and flowers are kind of a clue, considering that the other two names were Romeo (obviously masculine) and "Yoite" (Japanese, he's pretty sure, and she doesn't look Asian even if she had a normal skin color).
