He's not listening to his Sense - not closely, at least - but it's still impossible to miss the way it folds in on itself at the presence of a god. Thanatos. He shouldn't be surprised - he's in Thanatos's booth, after all. Guilt starts to seep in at the edges of the jagged emotional storm he's trying to weather. Thanatos has enough to deal with on his own - he doesn't need to worry about Ryo's trouble too-

Which is when Thanatos takes a seat next to him and pulls him into a hug. He gasps and freezes, for just a moment- he- he-

He needs this, doesn't he.

He leans heavily against Thanatos, burying his face in Thanatos's side and shaking with a fresh round of sobs. It takes some time, but eventually the shaking subsides as he cries himself out, until he stills, with only the occasional hitch in his breathing. Slowly, he reaches up and lays a hand on Thanatos's arm, careful to avoid his wrist. He can't manage words yet, but...this is better. He's numb and exhausted in the way only a long, heartbroken cry can manage, but he's not alone - Thanatos had made sure of that - and so this is better.
