Crowley grunts as if he's extorting an incredible amount of energy, throwing his arms up in the air. It's a distracting enough action that Alice probably won't notice at first that the two of them are not standing in the train car any longer (though they're technically still there-- long story). In fact the only thing that can be seen as far as the horizon is blue sky and sand. And Crowley’s wings.
