"What he'd want...I may have already given him as much, in the course of my own efforts to atone for having aided Xehanort. While awaiting an opportunity rescue him from the usurper in question, I overheard him mention having regrets related to a pair of younger Nobodies."

He pauses to drink, and to put together an idea of how to explain the context of the situation.

"Roxas and Namine are unusual, in that they have souls of their own, independent of their Somebodies. 'Even' and 'Vexen' could not coexist, because for all the differences between my human self and my original incarnation as a Nobody, it was the same mind and memories at the core of both. But those two, they were entirely new people...save for possessing no true bodies of their own. Thus, they ultimately became dormant inside of their Somebodies, and would have remained as such without intervention.

"But you see, the project I poured my entire self into for the past decade is Replicas. Xion and the Riku Replica are examples of how the technology can be used to create entirely new people, but it can also be used to forge empty vessels for an existing heart and soul to occupy. I paid Xehanort back for his trickery by fooling him into believing I was on his side, long enough to perfect the creation process. I have already given new life to Roxas, and Ienzo ought to have everything he needs to restore Namine even in my absence."
