Dairine Callahan | OTA

Platform

Dairine had spent the first half of the month keeping to herself after her sister had left. She had even skipped the mission... or tried to before the sudden visit to the conductor. Deep down, she felt pretty guilty about it. Thus far, the missions had been about helping other planets and people. And wasn't that a wizard's job? To protect Life? But she just couldn't stand it anymore, watching more and more people come and go without a warning. Not just here, but back at the castle too.

...And at home, but on a more permanent basis, and Dairine didn't dare linger on that thought for long. The point was, in the end, Nita had been the last straw. Dairine felt so lost and frustrated. She couldn't let other people see her like this. Or, worse of all, risk them offering condolences. So she stayed alone (or as alone as one can in a room with three other people) and sulked.

Unfortunately for her, staying on the train for platform day wasn't really a thing. Dairine gets booted out the door with a scowl, just in time to see S’reee float away. Her stomach drops. Another wizard gone...

But as Dairine bites her lip, her eyes furrow with resolve. Sure, things suck, but the time for self pity has passed. This place needs a wizard, and she signed up for the job. Taking a deep breath to steady herself, she approaches the new arrivals. Acting cheerful might be beyond her for now, but hey, they need answers more than smiles.

"Hey, welcome to the Voidtrecker. How you holding up?"

Train Engine

After looking over the others on the platform, Dairine finds herself near the train once more. She hesitates for a moment, before eventually placing her hand on the engine hull.

"Hello again. I can't say I remember my visit from earlier, so I hope I left a good impression on your conductor." Given Dairine's manners, she probably didn't.

"...Do you miss her?"
