Initially there's the instinct to try and rip herself away from Devero. After all, being caught by someone while in the middle of fleeing isn't exactly ideal, and it only seems to be heightening Alice's panic about this whole situation.
But her unfocused eyes then land on Devero's face, and while she still seems out of it, she seems to at the very least realise this isn't someone who means her harm.
Not that it makes the panic fade. After all, the fire is still there. Not here, in this carriage, but-- it's on the train.
"F-Fire," she manages to get out, her eyes still trained on his face. "There's a fire. We have to go."
