Thankfully Madoka is one of those people who would never blame him for awkward rambling.

And even aside from that - said awkward rambling seems to work here. Because the girl stares over at him as he starts on it. First kind of curious, or confused on where it's going, but.. then he suddenly starts on that whole tangent about the cargo shorts, and somehow that amuses the girl enough to cause some relief. It's visible too, since she covers her mouth before giggling.

"You don't like the pants? You can buy different ones from the train shop.. Or, um, I guess that may be kind of hard if you don't have points yet."
