Honestly, Jiang Cheng doesn't necessarily want nor expect to see her here. The confusion of her coming back to life, of having to deal with Meng Yao, her own brother by law, her own child, her brothers and the other mess of cultivators here... He wouldn't wish that on Yanli. He couldn't, no matter how much he misses her and wishes he could see her one last time.

But at least Madoka offers him some kind of a distraction.

"I would hope they would not bring children too young here," he says, frown settled in place. "Especially if they want us to keep doing these missions and fighting. It's no place for someone who isn't old enough to have their own weapon."
