Devero breathes a sigh of relief when he locates the carrier. It's intact, it feels like something's still in there, and it doesn't seems to react when he picks it up to peer inside.
Sir Beepers follows Koumyou under the bunk, cutting its lifters and dropping lightly to the surface of the bed in its critter mode. It starts wandering around, poking rumpled ridges of blanket and the corner of a pillow and Koumyou's toes with one of its foot-points curiously. Not that it hasn't actually seen more of these things before, but it's still very firmly in explore-and-learn mode.
It's in the process of trying to climb up on Koumyou's knee when it freezes, its camera-eye turning up to the priest's face. The blue ring around the lens starts to blink, and then Devero's voice issues from the same little speakers that produce its beeps and boops.
"Koumyou? Everything's all right, I found it. --Well, I found the carrier. I can't see anything inside, but it's intact and doesn't feel empty, so I think we're okay?"
