This pair has had a similar experience, although not entirely at the level of normal, mortal humans. It was a time before the train - their powers severely limited and their corporations much more demanding, while also made to live in an environment where resources were rather scarce and the danger was harder to avoid. They spent less than a year in that state, something of a blink in time for their usual standards, but it felt like so much longer.
