What: A Baby is Born (Claudette is activated and Entrapta can introduce her to people)

Guri had specifically asked to be here for this. Entrapta makes sure to inform her, and she's extremely anxious by the time she gets there. She wants this to all go right, she's worked so hard on her, longer than she has on most of her robots.

"Alright, are you ready?"

And then without further warning, she uses the screen on her tablet scanner to activate the dinosaur robot. The light on her head glows a brilliant purple and with a clank of metal she starts to find her balance. Legs wobbly like a colt at first, she turns her head to regard her surroundings.

She beeps a couple of times, taking an uneasy couple of steps forward.

By the time the acclimation's done, she's able to run and she's doing it plenty. Back and forth through the gym she sprints, sometimes leaving a happy doppler effect trail of "beepbeepbeepbeepbeep" as she runs by because the world is exciting and new.

Then sometimes someone new enters, and they get a mechanically jarring honk of surprise.

"Hi!" Entrapta calls out, watching from the climbing rack. "She's still figuring things out. I have a flashlight if you want to play with her! It would actually help me out a lot, she needs a little more calibration before she goes into rest mode for the night."

"AH!" Nozomi jumped at the honk. She had wandered into the gym, looking to do something, only for the robot honking at her shocking her.

"Ah, h-hi, Entrapta...!" she replied, recovering and waving. "Is she new? I hadn't seen anything like it before..."

She is there as soon after Entrapta tells her as she possibly can be. She'd left the science to her, out of respect. Entrapta had a...knack for machinery. Something more than knowledge or inspiration.

Entrapta speaks as she enters, and she nods.

"Yes, of course."

She takes position near - but not too near - to Claudette, folding herself down onto her knees, appearing in every way as non-threatening as she could. She glances at Entrapta, a smile on her face that could light suns, as Claudette takes her first steps.

"Congratulations, Entrapta, she looks magnificent."

"Sort of new! I've been working on her for approximately two months now. I've just activated her. Her name is Claudette!"

Claudette's tail sways as she steps back, lit face looking Nozomi up and down. She beeps a couple of times. "Sorry I've been so busy with her! I meant to catch up with you but I really wanted her functional before the mission. This way we can do a few days of calibration."

"Look at her learn to balance! She's so cute while she's learning her counter-balancing! I'm so proud of her."

Claudette takes a little baby step. Another one. Another one. Looks at Guri crouched and-

Honk!

"That's right, Claudette! That's Guri!" She leans forward to watch her, hands on her knees. Claudette is slowly understanding that tail is meant to keep her front half steadied.

“Hehe, it’s okay, I understand!” Nozomi said. “I usually don’t go out of my way to bother people about things!”

She looked over Claudette, smiling in curiosity. “So, what does she do?”

"A lot of things! She has shielding, a concussive canon, regenerative ability." She offers a flashlight to Nozomi.

"Go ahead! She'll try to catch it. It's going to help her targetting and maneuverability."

Entrapta sounds so proud of her little combat bot.

Lena had just come by the gym to see what was there when the honk catches her by surprise. Then she blinks, looking from the robot to the girl.

"Uh...okay? Sure."

"Today is her first day of operation!" Entrapta says happily from her perch, legs dangling as she holds out the flashlight with a lock of her hair.

"Everyone and everything is new to her. Her name is Claudette! She'll calm down once all of her systems have adjusted."

Nozomi caught the flashlight and turned it on.

"So, it's for fighting, huh? Neat! Alright, then Claudette, let's help you out!"

And she began to shine the light at the wall, letting her make the first act before jerking it away to the floor.

Claudette watches the light on the wall, running along the length of it, then does the thing where she looks for the "disappeared" light until she finds it on the floor and follows it there.

"Ahh! She's learning!" Entrapta is so excited by the simplest things she's doing. "She's going to be so good after some more enhancements!"

Nozomi giggled as she continued to play with the bot, like a dog trying to catch the light itself.

“What else are you hoping it can do?”

"Well if I can install a carrier, I can use her for package deliveries. That includes potions during combat, physical items, messages. With her shielding and regeneration she would be well protected doing courier assignments."

She could stand in front of people while they do their heals, too.

"She's also going to enjoy target practice! Once she's calibrated, dodging and weaving is going to be a fun activity for her. People here don't really have many moving targets for their practice."

“Oh, wow, that’s so cool! Such a handy ally!” Nozomi said before an idea crossed her mind.

“Say, you think me transforming might help?”

Eva's starting to get used to all these not!porygon robots, yet she can't say she's seen one as energetic as Claudette is.

It's kinda cute in its own way.

"I can do one better and send Lele out, if you want?" Eva offers with a tap of the levelball on her belt as she heads over towards Entrapta. "And if she hurts it, it's not an issue."

It isn't like yet another dent on Lele will hurt it.

Della blinked rapidly, rather wary due to Gyro's usual robot and robot-looking-things usually turning homicidal. But hearing and seeing Entrapta put her back at ease, all smiles.

"So, this little lady have a name?"

"Sure!" Entrapta watches from her high vantage point as Claudette stops to walk around Eva curiously, tail swaying before she abruptly stands up straight like a bird watching for anything unusual.

"Claudette has shielding and can self-repair so if Lele gets a little rough she'll be okay. ...I've not actually seen Lele so I'm kind of curious too." She brings up her magical scanner to take video.

"I can't imagine that it would hurt."

And hey, she has her magical scanner here so she can observe the transformation... would the transformation change the flashlight? Entrapta must know that now, too.

"Go for it."

Claudette beeps and boops some questions in Entrapta's general direction.

"Yes! Her name is Claudette!" Entrapta is absolutely thrilled with her new baby, and the mechanical creature, for the most part, isn't intentionally looking hostile. Just curious. She even bumps a ball with her head, knocking it forward just enough to chase it.

"She's still learning. She'll be less active once she's become familiar with her environment."

Nozomi went for her CureMo, flipped it open and hit the buttons, calling out “PRETTY CURE METAMORPHORZE!”

Entrapta would be privy of Nozomi’s transformation, replacing the train’s usual clothes with the familiar vest, skirt, shorts, bracers and boots of Cure Dream, her hair growing longer and her small pigtails turning into hoops of hair.

Even the flashlight would change, turning both the device and light’s color to pink!

“The great power of hope, Cure Dream!” She called out, striking a pose... and swinging the flashlight in the process, meaning the light was all over the place.

"No problems here!" Della chirped, because if Entrapta made it, then it had Della's seal of approval. "Any way I can help you both out?"

Entrapta extends some hair to offer the flashlight to Della, not climbing down from her perch to do so.

"She likes to chase the light. It's helping her with her depth perception because she's relying on a set of lenses in a singular ocular sensor." Basically depth perception with one eye takes some work. She's not had to worry about perfecting it with the Horde bots.

"Faaaascinaaating," Entrapta drawls as she watches through the scanner. A previously non-magical item has been endowed with magic. How many other magical girls can do this? She must know.

But, later. In the process of the swirl Claudette tries so hard to watch it that she rolls all the way over, and gets back up onto her feet trying to figure out where it went.

As Nozomi stops, she realizes poor Claudette is confused as to where the light went. She blinks in confusion herself before she looks up at her hand and the light pointing up to the ceiling.

“Whoops! Sorry about that!”

"Oh wow," Bacon says, startled more by the sudden presence of robot than the actual shape of it. "I— sure. I'll play with her. What do I do with the flashlight?"

"Can do!" Della took the flashlight and began moving it around... but then paused.

"... Huh. This kinda reminds me of the cat videos on the internet..."
