Guri's Time Off

Who: Guri and OPEN
Where: Several
When: Course of the Month
What: Various prompts for Guri!
Warnings: None!

Open - Library Car

She found reading passed the time. She had to remember to read at human speeds, though. It was tempting to speed ahead and get to the ending sometimes. Especially with mystery novels.

She'd seated herself in a chair, and was currently working her way through one currently. She had a cup of tea next to her, since that also made the process seem more human. It ensured that she remained unbothered by the perceptive and curious. Occasionally, she sipped at it, leaving it as a background subroutine.

There hadn't been any tea in it for several hours.

She, sighed, closing the book in front of her. She looked a little bit disappointed.

The butler still hadn't done it. Why did people always say that? It hadn't been the butler once yet.

Open - Sparring/Workout?

Another key space for her was any athletic one. She preferred gymnastics, first and foremost. She'd found a good outfit for it on the previous stop. She liked it. And she took on gymnastics equipment with a precision and speed - and grace. It wasn't just doing the maneuvers, no - when performing a vault, she'd land it, but shake her head if it was lacking in grace.

She also did quite a bit of working the old bag. Her speed showed there, too, as she made elaborate series of punches and kicks against the worn material. It wasn't anywhere near as good as a real opponent.

Closed - Dinner for Alice

She had also made a promise before, one she intended to keep. Soldat's training was, bit by bit, paying off. Her earliest examples had been truly...awful. She could follow the instructions, but there were always errors and mistakes. Her timing was simply off. Which was absurd, but there it was. After many, many errors, however - progress had been made.

She'd carefully set aside a space for the moment, too, since it was important to her. Because...well, she'd never made a meal before. And it was Alice, who had proven to be important to her. And who had been granted a rough time on the previous planet - which she hoped to redress, just a little bit.

And so, she got to work. Dinner settings were placed to within a millimeter tolerance - though she allowed for some variance, since she'd noticed that absolute precision tended to make people uncomfortable, sometimes, though they didn't know why.

She'd left a note for Alice to make herself comfortable as she finished with the meals - finally appearing with an old standard - a plate of roast beef, mashed potatoes, and green beans soaked in butter.

Basic, but hopefully serviceable.
