[You know? when the train was suddenly a lot quieter, Jon didn't really think much about it. But he realizes pretty quickly most everyone else is gone for the time being.

He'll reach over and nudge Martin, ignores the Admiral's whining.]

Martin - Hey. Martin, I think.. the others are gone.

[ Martin has been severely exhausted these first few days. As it turns out, suddenly not being in an apocalypse and being tied to a domain is incredibly draining? He's spent a large (but not necessarily worrying) amount of time just eating, sleeping, and cuddling with Jon.

As such, Jon actually wakes him from a light nap with that nudge. He has to blink slowly, trying to get his eyes to focus. ]

Wh - what? Really? Gone where?

Um. I'm not sure? But they aren't on the train.

Maybe one of the missions I was told about?

Oh! Oh, that's right. I did hear about that.

[ Martin rubs at his eyes blearily. ]

I, ah. Will you judge me if I prefer to sit this one out...?

No. No, n-not at all. I, um. I think we may have missed the boat on that anyway.

[He sits up keeping one hand on Martin and he other looking over to the Admiral to make sure he's all right.]

I guess... We just wait for them to come back? The train won't be going anywhere.

Oh, well. Oops.

[ That's actually kind of a relief. If it's too late to leave the train, then it's out of his hands, isn't it? Martin settles back down. ]

Mmm, I imagine it won't, yeah. And if it does there's not much we can do about it.

Correct.

It might not be a bad idea to take a look around while we can? Less people to bump into.

Oh! That's not a bad idea. Let me get my shoes back on.

[He looks down at that red hoodie and sighs. He'd really like to get something else to wear sometime...

he swings his feet over the side of the bunk and does the same.]

I know there's one way to get new clothes here, but I'm wondering if there's an alternative.

[ Martin is reasonably content with his blue hoodie, though he is already leeching some of the colour out of it. He carefully tugs his trainers back on. ]

Oh? What way is that?

[Jon pauses in tying his laces, eyes down.]

[ UM. Martin jolts at that. ]

Well. Ah. I can see why you. Wouldn't want that.

According to others, she's very nice and only asks you to bring her snacks in exchange, but...

I'd like to find some other way first.

[ Hm, well. Maybe Martin will get Jon something and not tell him the source. But he won't mention that. ]

No, I completely understand. There has to be another way. I saw a variety of outfits, so...

We'll find something.

[He says it just as hopeful and easy, smiling up at Martin.]

Sure you'd probably like something warmer. Maybe we can find something that won't fade? Unless you want that.

[Do you, Martin? Do you want your clothes faded?]

[ It's ... nice seeing hope in Jon's eyes. Martin manages a smile that warms his whole face. ]

A jumper that won't lose its colour would be quite nice. I've already done terrible things to this hoodie.

[ He peers down at the pale mist already creeping into the blue. ]

[Knowing it's all over and they did what they set out to do helps. Being here with Martin helps even more, it's slow building that hope.]

Then let's see what we can find.

We could make that our mission for today, then?

[He reaches for one of Martin's hands as he stands, leaning up close.]

Some new clothes if we can, and- Breakfast for you?

[ Oh. Oh that's so ... Martin blushes immediately, taking Jon's hand and moving to stand up. It's these little gestures he likes the most. ]

R-right. Ah. I'm famished, actually. Keep forgetting to eat.

Then that first. If the clothes exist, they'll still be there later.

... What about you? Do we need to. Er. Get you food too?

Um. Well... Yes. Just.

[He raises his other hand to rub at his hair and sees a notification of... something. He looks at it closer and.]

[ Martin leans in to peer at it too. ]

What's that?

It, um. It's that wrist band we woke up with.

[He kind of pokes at it, and gets a new thing from it.]

It had a notification I hadn't seen but. I think it's a statement. Let's- Let's go, I'll keep poking at this while we walk.

A ... statement? On your watch?

[ But Martin puts on his shoes and gets ready to go. ]
