Who: Rapunzel and Open
Where: Quiet Carriage, the merged one
When: Nebula Day 2-5
What: Rapunzel teaching various art forms.
Warnings: Lots of art.

[Rapunzel was honest excited for each and ever lesson she was going to be doing., which was quite a few honestly:

Day 2
[One was obviously painting and she was planning on doing that on the first day when the room isn't being used. She made sure that the paints were set up and that things were in there place. Rapunzel herself standing and happily sketching away as she waited.]

Day 3
[Day 2 was something a little different than what people would expect. There was a little area set up in time for Candle Making. People who might not know how they are ade might not know what this was, but Rapunzel was soon. Standing there waving excitedly.]

Hello, are you here for the candle making class?

Day 4
[Todays classes for her was for knitting and crocheting. Needles were out as well as wool that had been provided for by another void member. This one Rapunzel had been looking forward to since it had been so long since she actually knitted anything.]

Welcome to knitting and crocheting class if you may grab your needles we shall get started.

Day 5
[FInal day of classes before perhaps a mission and sitting in the area was a lot of fabric. What was this about exactly and why was Pascal here for this one? There was a reason as Rapunzel moved her hand for him to climb on.]

Okay, so welcome. Today we have a guest. HIs name is Pascal and he will be out little model for dress making. Unless anyone else volenteers?

[ Madoka is so excited for this.

After all, there's definitely some forms of art she knows well - or likes to think she knows well, anyway. But this? This is totally new to her, and it's a skill she's wanted to learn for the longest time! So of course Madoka makes sure to show up to it.

Not to mention that Rapunzel's little buddy is just the cutest sidekick ever on top of it. ]

No, he's such a cute model..!

[Razzy was always here to learn new skills. A mix of a strong curiosity and also need to be prepared.]

[And]

[Well, she had to be prepared to see Rapunzel. Because there was the possibility this wasn't hers. But it would be hers.]

[It could also be someone with the same name.]

[Except she arrives and nope, definitely the same face.]

Uh, yeah. [She paused.] You don't....know me?

He is rather and he's always happy to model what dresses I would make.

[Okay he wasn't always happy about it. He was he her happy about it? Just at the time he never really had much choice since it was either herself or him to test things out on back in the tower.]

But please take a seat and we will start.

I'm sorry, but I don't.

[She actually had to think about it for a good moment.]

I am going to guess you know a version of me from another place?

...yeah. Yeah, I do.

[It was kind of sad. She was starting to hope someone else she knew was here beyond Danny, and for a place that seemed a lot kinder then Sabra.]

[Then again, her Rapunzel deserved to have her happiness with her parents and Eugene. It's just...sad too.]

[Not that she's sad to have Danny, but funnily enough, she had known Rapunzel for more time then her original.]

But I guess that would be a big coincidence, huh? I'm Razzy Elric. Nice to meet you.

[ No need to tell her twice! Though Madoka is so excited that she's kind of hopping from foot to foot over here, she does obediently sit down the moment Rapunzel asks for it. She's still definitely smiling too. ]

I'm ready to learn, teacher!

ALright...I guess I should start with the first step with is making sure you get the correct measurements. So you should see the measuring tape on top of the fabric.

[She moved to pick it up holding it up for the other to see before moving to put Pascal down so he was ready.]

Now we shall measure the subject. You will need to measure at least six areas. Neck, bust, waist, hips, shoulder and arm length. You will also need to measure waist length as well as around the waist. In Pascals case there are certain areas where it might not need to be measured.

I wonder what the other me was like...

[Because of course that was the thought that was going on in her head. What was another version of her like? Were they similar in everyway or were things different?]

But it's nice to meet you. I hope we can become friends here to.

Okay..

[ Madoka might be whisper-repeating the six areas to herself, like she's trying to remember them. It's a lot to think about at once, but she's doing her best..! ]

Can he sit still while we measure him..?

She already knew how to knit, but it had been awhile since she'd done any more complicated stitches. Hearing there was a workshop available, there seemed no better chance at learning.

She had her own needles, but selected some of the yarn available as she already started working on a chain.

For the top half he can because that won't affect the measurement. But with waist length you might need him to stay up.

[But otherwise it all seemed fair game at least.]

[Rapunzel was carefully watching what the other was doing.]

Are you use to knitting?

[She nodded, still working, but her fingers started to slow in their movements. That this might be form complete new comers had her wondering if she was even allowed in the group.]

I'm familiar with the basic stitches, but it's been awhile since I've done anything really advanced.

And not that she'd admit outloud, but a part of her was trying to be more social]

[ Right, he should stand up.. though Madoka does wonder if he can stand up and stand still for that long! Usually animals like to move around, right? Though Rapunzel's little friend here does seem very obedient, she's got to say.. ]

Alright then! [ She nods, determined to remember all this. ] Are you going to measure him first, to show as an example..?

If you need an example I will be happy to.

[At those words Pascal already knew what he was meant to do. Stand on his hind legs. Simple really as Rapunzel held out the tape measure showing at least the areas once again that one would need to measure, but was making sure to not say any measurements out loud so the other can try herself.]

See. I showed the are would would need to do.

Fascinating...

[Hey she was just happy there were others as she sat down next to the other to simply watch. For all she knew she could learn something new herself.]

What for you would be classes as advanced?

Okay..

[ Madoka looks like she's thinking really hard, but she's already holding out her hands - as if she's waiting for the other girl to hand her the measurement tape. ]

I'll try it out this time then..! I'll do my best!

[She had to consider that a moment, her fingers still working.] Something beyond a scarf and hat.

The one project she had in mind was to make a little doll. Not that she knew any children young enough for one, but something nice and 'not' exactly practical.] Perhaps even learning to crochet, if you have hooks.

I am positive you will do great~

[She moved to hand over the measuring tape before moving to rest her head on her hands as she watched the others excitedly.

Pascal himself seemed pretty chill.]

Oh, crocheting is always super fun. But then again so is any style of art really. After all you are putting your passion into it.

[Rapunzel seem to brighten up a bit as she spoke for a moment.]

But I am happy to teach someone crocheting. I mean the lessons might not be great as I;ve never actually...taught much before this month but I will give it my best.

[ Well, if Rapunzel is positive, then Madoka can't let her down, now can she! Which means that she's already getting to work, leaning closer towards Pascal and slowly pulling out the measuring tape to use him. Trying to measure the same things as the other girl did a moment ago, and then stopping each time to note them down on a note..

Once she's done, she gently pushes the note towards Rapunzel, looking a bit shy - or perhaps uncertain, because Madoka never is that confident in anything she does. ]

Um.. is it right like this..?

[Rapunzel didn't even take that long and just glanced. At this point she knew her friends measurements by heart so she knew what she was looking for.]

It all looks right. While a couple might seem wrong, it's actually by not a lot. Like millimetres so it wouldn't actually affect the final result.

[Basically it should really be fine either way.]

Measurements are never exact, but you did a really great job.

[ There's a tiny moment where Madoka looks really, really worried that she did it wrong, since Rapunzel is saying it's a little bit off...

.. though most of that tension seems to leave the girl when she instead hears that praise. It makes her expression fill up with relief instead. ]

Ah, really..? T-Thank you! [ Sure, she might be getting praise here for a job well done, but Madoka is going to thank Rapunzel all the same for being so nice to her. ] What do we do with these now..?

The next step is to use those measurements on the fabric. When you are designing you need to first draw out the design of the fabric that you choose. That's when you use the measurements. Does that make sense?

[She wasn't exactly confident in her abilities to be a art teacher currently, but she knows she is doing her best at least.]

Yeah.. I think so!

[ It helps that Madoka would take most people at their word at any given time - so she's not about to question what Rapunzel is laying out for her here.

Instead she just nods. ]

Do we draw it out with a pencil, or something else..?

She was wonderful. She was bright and basically everyone loved her and she was so cool when she decided to do something. A lot could make her really nervous, but....she was always there for people. Also great at....hair tricks? Hair rope tricks.

[Also got possessed by an evil sun goddess for a bit, but! She can just sit on that tidbit.]

I hope so too. If you're even a little similar, you're someone who'd be great to know.

Pencil doesn't work very well on fabric. You need something like a marker though in my case back home I had to use something different. Also when you are drawing you need to know which parts to keep together or areas that won't ned sewing and to separate the parts you will need to have to sew together.

Basically don't draw the whole outfit as one giant drawing on the fabric.

[She went and picked up some fabric to show an example, since she thinks showing examples are a good idea to give someone a good idea. So she starts to draw sections, sleeves separate from the for just an example.]

That really doesn't sound like me in certain aspects. Th hair tricks though sounds about right. When you've had hair thing long for years you learn to use it to your advantage.

[She made a hair hammock and she had been damn proud of that way. It had been comfortable after all.]

But I guess that's because different things happen, I suppose and so that makes use change in different ways.

[ Madoka makes sure to pay close attention to the example! After all, she has absolutely no idea at all how to do this herself, and Rapunzel seems - in her eyes - very confident.

So she watches, letting out small 'ooh's and 'aah's as Rapunzel keeps on going. ]

You're so good at this.. I wouldn't even know which pieces to draw separately like that! I-I mean, that means you're going to have to put the sleeves on it later on, right?

Really? You don't think you're cool and lovable? [Curious.]

True. The place we were at was...very busy. It had a tendency to bring out the best or worst in a person.

It took me a while to figure it out myself, but in my case part of it was being self taught. But I like being able to teach others what I learned.

[While Gothel probably did teach her a few things it probably wouldn't have been an awful lot. But with the pieces drawn she went to fetch th scissors.]

I will let you do the next part of cutting it out, just to give you a better idea or feel as to how you do that.

Oh.. yeah! I can do that!

[ That statement even comes coupled with a small nod. It's not entirely confident, since Madoka is well aware there are still ways she could screw this up, but.. she does know how to cut things! She can cut things! This is a task she's capable of completing!

So when Rapunzel hands her the scissors, Madoka will start on cutting out the fabric. It's going very slowly though, since she's making sure to be reaaally careful over here. ]

Did you do this sort of thing a lot back home..? Um, since you taught yourself it, I mean.

Sometimes, I mean could be daily just to keep myself occupied really.

[There was a reason he knew a lot of things when it came down to art stuff. Way too much time.]

I wouldn't suggest practicing daily as there is so much one can do on the train, but now and again is always good.

It depends on what you mean by lovable. I know I can make friends and they like me, so I know that.

More busy than here? I mean here we at least get some downtime.

Well, after a while you do kind of get bored of doing the same things over and over on the train.. [ It sucks when you've already seen many of the movies, or read many of the books. It's why Madoka dives into art so often, really. At least that's different each time. ]

So I think I'll probably have time to practice a little more during the upcoming while! Though I'm not sure if we have enough fabric for it..

[ Maybe she should buy some more later? ]

I never found that to be the case...I mean I had my moments, but...not like I could have done more back home. SO I always make fun with the same thimgs over and over.

[She paused for a moment. It was why she felt a bit happier when she found herself here but soon back into old habits.]

I got enough for one outfit person wise, so not a lot.

[ That.. sure sounds like there's some potentially really sad reason for that!

But the last thing Madoka wants to do is put sad things on the table during fun fun art time, so she just tries her best to not ask about it, just accepting that Rapunzel likes doing the same things again and again. Hey, at least it won't leave her bored on the train..! ]

Aww.. [ That 'aww' though is in response to the lack of fabric. ] I guess that means we're going to have to buy more of it if other people want to make clothes too!

Yes, basically. But I didn't get a lot of points myself, so it takes time for me to get it.

[So she knew for now she could only get so many when she could afford it.]

So this is basically something one can only do now and again.

Yeah, that. I mean, earlier on she was nervous a lot, but she helped a lot of people by the end. A lot of people cared about her pretty deeply.

Way more then here. There was always some big thing we had to do almost every other day, and that was between maintaining survival. We had to hunt, garden, pretty much make most things from the scratch except our dorms.

That sounds like a lot. Just to be able to survive if anything.

[It was something she now wondered if it would happen if she were to go home back to her world and just not go home? Would she have to fend for herself? SHe knew if she had her memories of here she at least would be better off than before at least.]

AT least you don't need to hunt here. Though people like to sometimes when we go to other worlds.

Yeah. It was. Luckily people were willing to work together. As...much as they could manage.

[Maybe the 'Have to make it a trade' was for the best in that light with how self sacrificing some could be.]

I'm not a fan of hunting. We did it a lot, especially for big prey, but I don't really like killing things.

I've never been a fan of killing either...I don't think I ever actually had no.

[That she can recall anyway so she is at least keeping up her no killing if she can help it thing.]

But I guess that is how meat becomes a thing. But...for anything if there are better ways to do things then better that.

For the best. It's not fun.

Oh yeah. If food isn't scarce, I'm gonna look for other things to do. If nothing else, more fun to figure out weird plants.

SO that makes me want to ask how you've been handling the way food works on the train?

[Since they always get a new ingredient monthly.]

You mean the open car? Great. Makes it easy to get though I really will have to work on my cooking. I only know the basics.

[And she's still fairly new.]

What abut the random ingredient we get each month? It always changes so we get different things.

We do?! So nothing gets boring? [They Did Their Best in Sabra, but even good, same food is still the Same Food.]
