Platform

The cold feels a bit like home as the train shunts them all onto the platform, and Siebren spends his time outside as he normally does: searching the new arrivals for familiar faces - for good or for ill - and looking over the departures. And he spots Della among them, back turned as she leaves.

...ah.

He will miss her, he knows, but his concern is not for himself. He files the thought away (next to the gaping, still yet unaddressed wound that is Xander's departure) and instead turns to looking for those who will need support in the wake of her departure. Namely, his son.

His son, who has just lost his mother.

He finds Seto slumped against the cool metal of a carriage and approaches, gently laying a hand on his shoulder. "I can think of a few people with a warmer embrace than the train." It is an invitation, for Seto to not be alone with his grief.
