She'll be given a mild look, one that suggests this goes well beyond the commission he requested and they both should know it. The Ascian's gaze comes to rest on the axe, now patiently defying gravity before him. Elidibus reaches for it and grasps with both hands, letting the weight settle.

It's heavy; muscles are seen working to take its weight. But the balance is right and he has no complaints. He shifts the way it's held to test from many angles, though there'll be no swinging here. That will come later in the training room. The axe was tailored to suit this vessel and it's clear Q'uila's skill and knowledge of the limits is not to be questioned.

Not that he would pass a compliment in such a specific manner. It would be awkward to say the least. Elidibus turns to a nearby workbench and carefully rests the axe upon it. It might be a telling gesture for the Warrior of Light. Rather than store it away, it is kept in proximity.

Q'uila has more to say and he has responses to make. Ones which, had she not drawn out the amber crystal and shown it to him, may well have been close to what she sought out of the axe's presentation in the first place.

The stone itself, the symbol. The emanation that came from it. For Rich, it will likely seem just a simple stone or crystal. Pretty, but perfectly ordinary. Only the way it is handled and the manner which Elidibus responds to it may suggest otherwise. It was another thing he was not expecting to see but seems to recognize immediately.

Warring expressions cross his features. The Ascian is not generally stunned so often, and this time he's managing a more collected reaction. But it's clear he is trying to reconcile with what the miqo'te presented.

He offers out his hand, palm upward. This time he won't try to snatch anything from the Warrior of Light. No, this is something he asks for. "If you would allow me?"

It's clear it takes priority over reassuring Rich as well, though a fleeting glance in the youth's direction by the Ascian shows his presence hasn't been forgotten entirely. He won't protest Q'uila's explanation of their relationship either.
