Who:Evie Grimhilde and YOU.
What: DITL log, open starters abound.
Where: Throughout the train.
When: Entirety of Day 22
Morning: (one locked, others open)
"Wake up! Yoga with Mr Stark"
Evie Grimhilde had spent the night with Harry Hook beside her, curled against his chest and feeling safe and at peace. But she woke up without him and, even with the knowledge that this was a thing on the train, she still found it frustrating. But she wasn't the type to lie around and pout. A good princess doesn't pout or get locked into fretting and whining. And Evie, despite what she's kept from people, is a good princess. So out of bed she gets to grab her grey sweatpants and a tank-top she stole from the dressing car, stepping into the bathroom long enough to get changed and wash up a bit.
After that, she heads to Yoga with Mr Stark. She's found it a delightful way to start her day, to ease into the routine of things. She was picking it up quickly, too, enjoying the ease of known poses while loving the challenge of ones yet learned. And during all of that, Mr Stark and her talk a little. About their own worlds. Food. Projects they're both working on (Evie's being a long coat for Ignis and clothes for others). And today, she's found herself talking about the castle she bought and how hard she's worked for it.
"It's just a small starter castle that needed a little work, but I got a great deal on it. It took me three years of working out of my dorm room at Auradon Prep, making clothes for others for special occasions or day-to-day wear. I'm proud of it, though. It was something I worked hard for."
Breakfast: OTA!
At breakfast, Evie helps with the cooking. It's not her chore, but cooking is something that brings her a lot of joy and peace, so she's happy to help in the kitchen where she can. Eventually, she can be found sitting at one of the tables, eating what she'd helped make, drawing in her journal. It's likely she's designing something for one of the train residents that she's gotten to know. But, if anyone wants to help her with anything specific, or ask for something designed, please feel free to sit with her and ask.
Chores: Early afternoon to mid-afternoon.
The first day or so after returning, Evie didn't show for chores. Nor, it seems, did Harry. But now here she was, cleaning cabin after cabin. Making beds. Straightening common areas. Keeping things organized and neat, even though she knew very well that tomorrow it would be a mess again. But she was living on this train, and while she had a deep dislike and deeper mistrust of the conductor, she had enough compassion and care for a lot of the people on the train that not doing her part felt like it was disrespecting them.
So cabin by cabin and room by room, Evie cleans with the others on her team. Eventually, she gets bored enough of cleaning that she starts humming a song from her world to herself as she works. Don't worry; she has a lovely singing voice.
Mid-afternoon, to Late Evening.
After chores and lunch, Evie can be found in the dressing car. She's pulling clothing down and looking it over, making notes in her journal about what she finds and what she could possibly use for her projects. There was a lot to pull from in the dressing car. Evie hoped that whoever ran the train didn't mind her poking and prodding.
Eventually, she finds the buttons Ignis wanted and starts cutting through the threads holding them in place, her tool a broken fork she'd found. It wasn't the most amazing seam-ripper ever, but it was effective.
[Locked for Harry Hook.]
Later in the evening, closer to bed time, in fact, and well after dinner is over, Evie can be found in a blanket fort she'd made with her own bedsheets and blankets. She's in her pajamas, comfortable in the blanket fort as she sat and read over her notes from the dressing car. Some things get underlined, others crossed out. She's planning something, clearly. Or, at the very least, is biding hr time until Harry's arrival.
The truth is, she wants those nights sleeping against him, his arm curled around her or his fingers tangled in his hair as they sleep. She wants those moments where they both wake up with the other, before either finds themselves in their own rooms, where they smile at each other for just a moment and curl up with each other for more sleep.
Most nights since her return, they'd spent it in Evie's room. Harry's was out of the question, considering he didn't get along with one of his roommates, and Evie could understand his not wanting to be in there. So tonight, instead of sleeping in her room, they're going to sleep here.
She didn't tell him this was the plan. Just left him a note on her bedroom door telling her to find her where they'd first kissed. And now, she was hoping he got that note soon.

Yoga!
Standing in the warrior's pose, he had closed his eyes for a few moments listening to her talk about the castle. It seemed such a unique thing to do- buy a castle. However, she sounded entrepreneurial enough to have saved that kind of money. He wasn't sure what the significance of it was, but he was listening anyway. "Are you planning on the castle being merely a place to live or are you planning on building a community there and around it?"
Dressing Car
Re: Yoga!
She shifts from her current pose to warrior, looking at Mr. Stark questioningly.
"What would you do with a castle?"
Chores
"Hey there, Evie. You holding up any better since the luggage car thing?" He greets her with a small wave. It was good to see her out now after that whole incident: supernatural abduction was never a fun thing, Reigen could say that from personal experience.

She's also managed to cut herself a few times with it, scratches on her hands showing this very fact. Don't worry. She didn't bleed on anything.
"I hope the next place we stop has fabrics and sewing supplies. I haven't made anything in a while, and it feels very weird."
no subject
"Do you need any help with laundry? My list of chores is almost done."

"For real though, Buttercup mentioned getting abducted too...what's going on? Was there some kind of voice telling you to go there?" Maybe it's a little rude to ask about her disappearance so soon, but Reigen's curiosity gets the better of him. Besides, the more clues he can get about the nature of the conductor, the better.
no subject
"There was. A voice coming over the ICP telling me I was needed by the conductor. And then...suitcase."

"Well, for now, the important part is that you're ok."

"Oh.. probably nothing as noble as that. I'd probably- well, is it- depends on where it is. If it's in an already established nation like Ireland or England, I'd likely use it as a vacation resort, possibly renting it out when I'm not there for others." Maybe make it available for the Avengers who don't have access to such things- that answer was only thought of because of her answer, so he didn't include it verbally. "If it's on, say, it's own island? I'd definitely set it up like it's own nation and enjoy being a real king somewhere." At least he's honest about it?
"How are things with you and Harry?"
Breakfast

"How are you settling in on the train?"
no subject
"I am. I'm happy to report that I'm fine. Annoyed, but other than that, I'm alright."
Re: Breakfast
"I had my own custom clothing business back home." It was amazingly successful.
no subject
"I like a quieter life. My royal title can stay on the Isle." Switching to another pose and then grinning at Mr Stark, she answers his next question happily.
"We're fine. Settling back into our routine and trying to find ways to keep ourselves from losing our minds on the train. The train is lacking with things to do and neither Harry nor myself are really big into video games. So, that's not exactly a go-to when we need something to do. But other than that, we'ere great."
no subject
"That's pretty awesome. Looks like you're good at it."
no subject
"...slowly, but surely, getting used to it."
no subject
"Okay. If I were to design something for you, what would you want? Lots of color? Very little color? Vibrant colors if there are any, or muted and subtle?" Yes, these are her getting to know you questions. Be thankful it's not an ice breaker okay.
no subject
"That's good. So I guess he's not looking to harm anyone, just send us to different places when he feels like it? Teleportation of this scale sounds like too much for only one person to take care of, though." While he's speaking, he finishes putting the different articles of clothing he was sorting through into the laundry basket.
no subject
"He hasn't been too active, has he? That first week he was here he made quite the ruckus. Did he become more tame or is that simply a result of this boredom you are mentioning?" He was actively trying to stay incredibly busy on board and from what he could tell, he seemed to be the only one succeeding.
"Have you heard anything you think it might benefit me to know about? You can always work as additional eyes and ears for me."
no subject
Returning to a normal standing position, she shrugs a bit. "We were avoiding staying in his room because he doesn't care for one of his roommates, but they're gone, so him getting into an argument with ...Khary, I want to say....that's no longer a concern. I don't know if that counts as calming down for him, or just knowing I'd be disappointed."
Shaking her head at his next question, her tone is apologetic. "Nothing that I can think of, Mr Stark, but I'll be glad to help you any way I can.
no subject
"Was this a friction between strong personalities or something more concerning? I don't believe I've even met this Khary." He frowns, thinking that over. He had thought by now he knew everyone, but that name wasn't familiar. "Is it written as something different on the roster?" He'd run into that problem before, Conan's name wasn't the same, for instance. "Don't surprise that pirate of yours too much. The train can handle some ruckus now and then or it'll get boring." That part was said as more of a joke than anything serious. Although he did actually like Harry so he wouldn't mind seeing the young man around more often.
no subject
"Khary decided he was judge and jury and used magic on him to immobilize Harry. He was unable to do anything, just float along the ceiling, unable to do more past swear and glare at a person." She can understand Harry's frustration.
"I don't expect Khardeen to know this, but Isle kids...we don't trust magic, and absolutely not the kind that leaves us essentially helpless and an easy target. And it's especially frustrating when it's done in a fashion that just screams 'mine is bigger than yours'. I trust Harry to tell me the truth," Evie adds, knowing Harry's loyalty to his loved-ones is exactly why she can trust him.
"I don't approve of him stealing, but I'm siding with Harry. There are so many other ways that could have been handled. Going right to something that's clearly a dominance display..." Her nose wrinkles, a sign of displeasure, and there's an irritated undertone to the way she crosses her arms over her chest and sighs. She's quiet for a moment, thinking of what to say next on the matter, pushing blue hair out of her eyes before crossing her arms again and regarding Mr Stark with respect.
"This is why I respect you. You'd have handled Harry so much differently. You don't need to do a big dominance display, just to make your leadership known. If you did, I think this place would be in chaos. You're capable of it, sure. But you choose not to. If I didn't know any better, I'd say you were a royal, yourself."
no subject
That being said, hearing about the reaction to it had a frown return to his face. He could sort of understand both sides of that, but he would agree that seemed excessive. "For someone who isn't from your island I can understand how that might not have been perceived as such an extreme violation. That being said, I don't think it was right and I want you to tell me if anything like that happens again."
He hadn't expected the compliment and it made him feel self-conscious especially since he had erred on that a bit too. It was downright shocking anyone who met him would think he didn't lead by annoying displays of dominance. That's how he thought of his own leadership style after countless accusations of such had been hurtled at him. He tried for better, he just had no real faith he could do it. Could he possibly have achieved it this time? The look on Evie's face and the respect in her words would certainly speak to that.
"Uh, thank you, but.. I may have done something similar to Harry." This was before they'd talked and he'd gotten a better feel for the strange pirate boy. "I aimed my blaster at him. I wasn't really threatening to shoot him, just make him listen to me. But I'll keep that background in mind for the future. Till then, have you two just been in your room?"
Would the train listen if he tried to speak with the conductor through an open ICP message? Surely they could request some re-arranging.
The part about being royal had him laugh. "Ash asked me something like that too. She asked if I were a noble." Smirk. "I told her I was." Even if technically that wasn't true.
no subject
"Oh... uh," Miles laughed a little at her question and scratched the side of his head for a moment. "I don't know. I like black and red lately," is that too obvious? He shrugs one shoulder. "But I like most colors." Bright, neon colors do feature a lot in his own art style.
