Tidus rests his arms on the table, curved towards him, easy and relaxed. He doesn't need a drink himself, and it's always better to leave the new people to nurse with one, and whatever thoughts they might have once he goes.
Whatever happens. But Tidus isn't any rush to leave. This guy seems nice - and he seems like he could do with some company.
"Oh, you see it in the one carriage?" Humour coats his words. "Yeah, that's not normally like that. Good thing you didn't show up earlier - we went to this one place, Osiga?" Tidus moves a hand as he speaks. "It was covered in snow! This weird snow, anyway. More like an ice?" Eh, details. "Anyway, now that was cold. Me, I live in sunnier weather."
He points a thumb at himself.
"My city was called Zanarkand! And I'm Tidus. No brothers or siblings of my own, but there's a few kids 'round here I like to keep an eye on."
So maybe he can admit to trying to be a bit of a big brother to them.
