Elidibus seems to become a little more alert at the mention of creative powers. What the young man had been doing was different from what he's accustomed to and knows intimately but the principles- sustaining and focus of the mind- those principles seem a given.

"If it is refining the details that drains you, give it simple ones that covey the image." A second is made to sit beside the first, though it is definitely more of an outline than the first.
