An appreciative nod is directed Alice's way.

Having been kidnapped thrice now, Faux understands very well Alice's feelings about her forced stay. "Given the small dimensions and tasks this Train is expecting of us, and with those odds over you, Alice, I can see why you wouldn't find it particularly enjoyable." Especially if ones function is incompatible with the required tasks involved, like the games Sark and the MCP put him and others though. Living past those ruthless activities only to be given the privilege of existing to fulfill them again, with the constant threat of your inevitable end (or worse) hanging over your head, can never be a positive experience. "I've... had my own experiences. None of them that good either."

Brightening up, Alice probably wouldn't want to hear about his own problems. Especially old ones.

"The thing with odds is they persist, but there is at least an opportunity for us to improve upon the parts we can control. Telling the Train to get stuffed may do nothing, but it will certainly improve my mood." It's the small things that keep his existence from being more than just survival. If he ends up being one of the 99% percentile, well, he's had a long run-time.
