[ Jin Ling still fought the urge to roll his eyes at Shizui's statement. Of course, it's his friend's birthday, so there's no real point in frustrating himself or Sizhui. So, he did the more mature thing (for once) and dropped it where it was. He knows Sizhui won't change his beliefs over the things he says.

It's better for his friend to be happy on his birthday then have a discussion on what he should or shouldn't be doing. It IS his Birthday as emphasized. Jin Ling just crosses his arms as he stares at Xixue's presence by his leg. Fairy trots on over to the to the both of them with a happy bark. Jin Ling gives Xixue another once over, before offering his arm out for her to take, if she wants him to carry her.

Jin Ling certainly has found himself to enjoy her little presence a lot more than he anticipated. ]
