There's joy cradled in every single one of his limbs, and light, a well of hope and love and comfort. There will never be a time where Esteban is not thankful that he keeps on meeting new people like Amaya; even though he'd never be able to tell anyone what he is searching for in his companion.
It always comes back to him though; this warmth that gathers behind his ribs. Something that keeps him going through the tough times, something that heals, just a bit, wounds that he'd received a long time ago. So Esteban applies himself again, and again, writes her name down twice, thrice, and when he's satisfied, when he has as steady a hand as he can in just about ten minutes, he turns to the paper he's set aside, and takes a deep breath.
He's careful and slow, spelling her name out. It's a little crooked, and a letter is lopsided just a tad, but it's the last step to this small gift, a mixture of his culture and her culture that means so much to Esteban. He smiles as bright as sunshine as he hands the paper back to her.
"One more t' add decorations to~" he encourages. The same way that he's learning a new alphabet (if even briefly), he hopes that this too will encourage her to practice her art. Sharing in the newness of this!~
