XD

He does take the time to imitate her, signing {older} as she does, before adding a quick {How do I sign, small sister?} His sign for small is contained it a tiny space, like he's exaggerating the movement. Or maybe he just made it smaller and smaller and smaller as he practiced, eventually learning it as this tiny and somewhat delicate sign, despite his large palms.

Oh! There's an other one he gets excited to learn, and the sign {outdoors} might be clumsy at first, but he repeats it, before trying to find a way to formulate his sentences. He's had two, so far, he wants to push for at least a third question entirely in sign language. This one is particularly difficult, so he struggles, but he keeps at it anyways, carefully tracing each sign.

{S-a-r-a-i} Her name is still a little slow to spell, so that they hear individual letters rather than a word, but he keeps at it, and practice will smooth it out eventually. {Teach? Amaya} he questions, before turning slightly to his opposite side. {Sa-r-a-i, Amaya learn, together?} Oof! This was hard; and his questions are so basic, simple when limited in this way. But he did his best, and he's glad that he's slowly picking it up!

But he'll definitely be switching back to speaking, because his shallow questions just aren't cutting it when he wants to hear so much more about the person Amaya loved and loves so dearly still.
