Crazy New Wizard Goes Round and Round!

Who: Wei Wuxian, open
What: The craziness of the Void has a certain new arrival blindfolded and proving it won't keep him down

Normal people, when wearing a blindfold, would probably stay put somewhere familiar. Not Wei Wuxian. Not for long, unless Lan Wangji convinces him to pause and reflect for a bit- and he even obeys! He'll meditate for an hour or two at a time, then he's up again and exploring. Running into doors, figuring out by touch and other senses just how to open said doors, as well as where things are.

Anything to keep busy and distracted. The voices from the Void are still a distraction, louder than he's used to, but he's trying to block them out. And the black length of cloth covering his eyes helps, along with reminding him (by prevention) not to look outside.

Its the making new talismans and experimenting to see how well they work to quiet the small bunk he and Lan Zhan share that he wants to work on, but seeing would help. Instead, he thinks of what characters would work the best for when he can experiment directly, leaning back against either a rock, or his bunk, depending where he has an idea.

The Chinese man doesn't mind the uniform he'd arrived wearing, it's even blue! but he was relieved to feel his usual red hair ribbon in his Qiankun pouch (bag of holding) and has pulled his hair up and back accordingly, and added the pouch to hang at his waist.

Tony had been working on his computer (yay!) when he heard something or someone collide with the painted glass door that had been closed. Unsure whether to be concerned or pissed, he got up and opened the door. Looking down he spotted the long haired young man with a blind-fold sprawled on the floor.

Honestly, he just wasn't even sure where to start with this one.

"What the hell are you doing?" That seemed as good a spot as any. "This may come as a big shock, but maneuvering through unfamiliar spaces tend to be easier without blind-folds, you dumbass."

"Ow," he complains, rubbing his head as he slowly sits up. And then he hears a door open and a cranky voice speaks up. Wei Ying flaps a hand with a smile. "Ah, exploring?" Being called an idiot is nothing new, and almost sounds like an endearment to him at this point.

So his smile turns to a grin as he gets to his feet, one hand moving to double check where the walls are. "If it's easy, is it worth learning?" He dusts himself off, the blind fold really doesn't seem to bother him, or keep him from moving without fear. He just. Runs into things. Sometimes harder than intended.

But thinking a second, he focuses on the voice itself. "I don't think we've met." Please don't be the crazy tall red headed guy...

Tony reached out and helped the idiot back to his feet. "Sometimes, yes. If not, then I wouldn't have bothered learning for most of my schooling growing up." It was all easy and boring until he was properly placed in a grade much higher than his age. "It also leaves your mental energy free for something actually worth your time and effort rather than making something simple tedious for no reason."

"Hmm, really? Have we come across a reason why blindfolds aren't practical? If you saw my face as well as heard my voice, you would be certain. Provided you aren't a moron without the blindfold too." That last part actually had a hint of amusement, not just being cranky rude for no reason.

Conan leans out over his book to stare at his new roommate.

"Why are you wearing a blindfold?"

Ignis didn't get much of a chance to say hello on the platform but he was looking for his new team members to introduce himself. He'd been amused at seeing the husbands and their antics, not wanting to interfere and but in. Figuring it best to let them be and acclimate, of course the advisor would be more than willing to help either or both of them out. Leader of the Blue Team he might be, but pushy wasn't his style, it never had been.

Seeing one of them now, Ignis thought to make an introduction. So he walked up, realizing the man had a blindfold on. Funny, he hadn't had one on yesterday, but still he tried to step carefully and make his presence known to the man.

And that was when he miscalculated a step, having the young blindfolded man crash right into him. Ignis fell against the wall to take the damage, not quite sure about this one. So after a moment, he tried to hold the other man steady and upright.

"Are you alright?"

He bumps into a lady, this time, who was occupied looking at the brass fittings and wondering if she could incorporate that into sculpture.

"Oh my! Young man, are you alright?"

Ha! Mr Grumpypants isn't actually mean! Good to know.

Wei Ying smiles in mute thanks for the help up, bowing his head a little as well. But then scrunches his face up with a bit of a pout. "I just forget the easy stuff. There's far more interesting things to do." Which has driven all his teachers up the walls when they realize what he does. Along with no few peers. "And I have plenty of mental energy for what's important." He's not lying.

"Mm," he will defend Lan Zhan's choice as fiercely as needed. "My partner thinks I can take it off tomorrow. Then I'll get to see more of this train."

He backs up a step and bows a bit more properly, arms forming a circle before him and a bend at the waist. "I didn't mean to run into your door though, wasn't expecting it to be locked. Please forgive me."

Wei Ying keeps his hands folded behind his head, one leg propped over the other with the ankle on opposite knee.

"Aah...Bad reaction to the Void. I'll be fine in a day or so." For his cabin mate, he doesn't mind telling the truth, even if it's the abbreviated version.

Lan Zhan is perfection and Wei Ying knows he's extraordinarily lucky to be married to him.

He runs along, expecting not to run into anyone (maybe another door...) and he almost succeeds! He was already slowing when he approached the person ahead of him when he stumbles as well with a strange little lurch of the train.

"Ack!

"...Maybe I should slow down a little..." He mutters thoughtfully to himself, rubbing his chin. Then shakes his head and smiles at the help, taking a more careful step back so he can offer a sheepish little bow. "Please forgive me for running into you. I'm fine! Are you?"

Right, then.

Slowing down.

Wei Ying pretty much wilts a little when he realizes he's bumps into a woman this time, and bows properly, arms moving up to form a circle. "Please forgive me for being so clumsy!"

If Ignis compared the man to Tony before (and he certainly had that energy) there was a little bit of Prompto's energy in this man that collided into him. He's puzzled even further about the blindfold, but he's too polite to ask, and it's none of his business. After all it wouldn't do to offend one of the newest members of his team or the man this one had come on board with.

Green eyes then widened behind the glasses at the bow that was received. No one did that to him, it was something to be done to royalty like Noctis or King Regis, certainly not to him, he's merely an advisor. So the long haired man missed the slight flush to Ignis' face at the gesture, and it took him a moment to recover due to it.

"No harm done, everything is quite alright." He had to admit this man and the other he'd come on board with were very polite and it was quite refreshing. "I am well thank you for asking." Yes, this man definitely had Prompto's energy here. "Can I get you anything or help to guide you somewhere?"

Wei Ying doesn't care who he talks to. If he's done something that warrants a bow, he bows. Be it to a peasant, a peer, or a senior.

He smiles, relaxing at the words the other man says and lets his arms drop back to his sides. "I'm not usually so clumsy," he self-deprecates. "But I've never been on a train before, and it moves different from a boat and carriage."

He waves a hand in a careless manner as if to erase the offer. "I have to learn it on my own, or at least some of it before I can take the blindfold off." And work off some of his energy other than training.

She sees the blindfold and blinks, curiously.

"Of course, youngling. You are... blind?"

The assumption doesn't offend him- he's met several blind people who are perfectly able to do even the most complicated things. So he only grins, laughing a little as he shakes his head.

"No, Madam! I can see just fine." He pauses, but knowing that still sounds funny, decides to explain. "It is only the lights and the Void that are a bit more a challenge than expected. I'm fine."

"Oh, I see." She smiles. "Well, that's fair enough. Will you have to wear this the whole time? That must surely be frustrating."

"Only until I get used to it here. Give me another day." He shrugs though, clearly unconcerned.

A gentle hand reaches out to touch his - it's calloused, not soft, but gentle.

"Will you need someone to help you find your way?"

His hands also have their share of callouses. Maybe not as many as his original body had had, but this new one still had seen some work before the sacrifice of spirit for vengeance. Wei Ying gives her fingers a gentle squeeze before withdrawing, though there's a warm smile on his face.

"No. I just need to make a bit more chaos for my partner to come after me," he informs her cheekily.

If Eva's honest, her first thought is he's blind; why else would he have a blindfold on inside? Her second thought is where is his sight-stick? didn't the train give him that to tap as he walks?

Her third, actually acted on thought is to recall Princess before the blindfolded man trips over the pokemon. The last thing she wants to do is injure someone who's blind. Not in the standard carriage at least. It isn't so much the burst of bright light but the sound that's the main indicator that there's something up ahead.

That, and Eva speaks up. "Are you... are you blind?"

"Be watching where you do be going!" Alright so maybe she should have also been more aware but she wasn't expecting a really tall man to barge through the door and almost trip over her.

A moment later she had taken in his appearance, most importantly the blindfold. Did he have no eyes?

"And adding a blindfold makes these tasks fun enough to remember?" He asked, finding this guy slowly creeping from 'annoying' to 'amusing'. "Ah, the man you were on the platform with is your partner?" They practically looked like twins, but he was pretty sure saying that aloud might sound racist.

"Is there another reason why your partner thinks it's wise for you to have a blindfold?" Yes, he's not letting that go. It's really weird.

The comment about the door got a laugh. "It's a curious habit I picked up some time ago when I didn't want my items to find new owners. What did you say your name was?"

The sudden sound just ahead of him brings him to a quick halt, then a step back to be sure. He holds still a moment, listening, then turns to properly face the source of the voice. Wei Ying waves a hand in negation. "Aah? No. I'm fine. I just need to get used to-" his hand waves again, this time gesturing vaguely out toward the Void. He can still hear it, but it's muted now. Bearable.

Thankfully only almost tripping over, this time! Wei Ying catches himself on the door, holding on to keep from bowling her over, then retreats a step, reaching up to shove hair back over his shoulders in absent yet deliberate way.

A child? How many children are there on this train?! He shakes his head to focus and smiles a bit sheepishly. "I'm sorry!" He quickly says truthfully. "Did you need help getting between the carriages?" He holds out a hand to help her if so.

"Yes," he answers with a wide grin. "I've already figured out where my room is, the kitchen, the engine, the common areas, and now I know where your locked room is." Just give him another day and he'll be trying to pick locks blindfolded~

Wei Ying nods, "Mm! That was Lan Zhan." He'll be thinking the same thing when he sees Tony.

"Well...The Void is rather noisy." His serious voice is still a bit sheepish and he reaches up to rub at the side of his head, but holds no hint of a lie. "I just need a day or two to adjust." He's not insane. Anymore.

...Much.

He grins at the laugh. So maybe Mr Grumpypants isn't so grumpy? "Does that happen often here?" ...Right. Introductions. Manners. Only the blindfold hides the roll of eyes. "I'm Wei Wuxian, or Wei Ying if you prefer."

"Chaos?" She blinks at him, curious.

"And who is your partner, youngling?" This is the Mom Voice.
