Peter keeps his eyes shut because the lights hurt his head and also because it's easier to keep the emotions off his face this way. He knows Tony's trying to make him feel better about his life and make him feel like it isn't the total and complete train wreck they both know it is.
"Sure, and how long before I lose her, too?" He says's her because Aunt May is his only living relative and Parkerluck takes everything and everyone in the end. It's not a matter of if, it's a matter of when. He doesn't like to think about it like that-he'll hold onto and protect May with every single thing he has but he also knows better than to plan for anyone (even Tony Stark) to stay in his life. Everyone leaves in the end.
If Tony said anything in response, Peter likely didn't hear it, there's a soft rattle in the boy's breathing that signifies he's somehow fallen asleep.
he's not asleep for long though, maybe about twenty minutes tops before he's awoken with a very, very upset stomach. He pushes himself up to a sitting position and frowns heavily, trying to decide if he's going to be okay.
Once he decides that he's fine and can go back to sleep the wave of nausea hits hard and he's coughing up the little bit soup he's eaten and a lot of tea.
He quickly covers his mouth to try and keep a handle on it, but the mess slides out his fingers as he frantically tries to get off the couch and to the nearest restroom.
