He scowled at that response. "She's from your future, so you know she's at least around that long." And did Peter have to keep bringing up the fact Tony was going to abandon him? Did he know how immensely painful that was? Knowing he was going to leave his wife a widow and his daughter fatherless was devastating, but Peter was on that list too.

His heart ached in his chest at the thoughts, but slowly he realized Peter was asleep. Instead of also sleeping, Tony stares ahead and gets lost in the pain and guilt.

That only gets broken when Peter was abruptly waking and ugh- barfing on him again. "Dammit Peter!"
