Bucky swipes a napkin from the table, wrapping up what little was left of his mooncake and stuffing it into his pocket before following Tony. He knew his little joke hadn't landed that badly -- there was something else going on, something more.
And when he saw the tremor in Tony's hand, he thought he had a pretty good idea of what it might be. He kept his distance, enough that hopefully Tony wouldn't feel crowded, and waited until they were actually alone to speak. "You're okay," he said, in the softest voice he possessed. The same kind of tone he used when his younger siblings woke from nightmares. "You're safe here."
