you're a fraud and you know it
Who: Arataka Reigen and You!
Where: Various
When: Days 21-23
What: Aftermath of Dream Breach Event. Reigen is not coping.
Warnings: Symptoms of depression and panic attacks, mentions of unnatural isolation & starvation, thoughts of death, and death of a child.
Day 21, Train Car
He can't sleep the night after the dream incidents, probably because the entire train had been asleep the full day. Honestly, Reigen won't admit it, but he's afraid to fall asleep again. Sure, he logically figures that whatever collective lucid dreaming nonsense that happened won't happen again, but his subconscious is likely to show all of that to him again anyway.
Being in the sleeping car and not sleeping will just disturb his roommates, so Reigen decides to wander the entrance car, despite how anxious he feels. He keeps having to check his surroundings to reassure himself that yes, all of the seats of the car are the same, and no, his name isn't carved into the floors. When he hears the door open, he nearly jumps out of his skin to see who it is. "Oi, don't sneak up on me like that!"
Day 22, Sleeper Car
Twenty-seven hours of only very briefly sleeping have passed, and Reigen has found that he was right to be nervous about sleeping. When he'd dozed off before, he found himself back in the parallel train car, watching himself and others melt away like a spectator in his own body.
Keeping himself busy and hyped up on caffeine has helped some, and he has chores he can attend to, so here is, dusting off the dining car. Sure, there are points where Reigen finds himself going over the same spot for minutes because of how out of it he feels, but it's fine!
Day 23, Dining Car (CW panic attack)
It's the latest hours of the night, and yet here Reigen is, starting a pot of coffee for himself in an effort to continue fighting off sleep despite the constant headache it's started to give him. Even caffeine consumption can't fight off dozing off forever, of course, and there's been a few times where he's fallen asleep for a few hours only to be awoken by the same nightmares. Right now is one of those periods, and no matter how he tries to push it off he keeps thinking of them, of seeing Madoka in pieces, strings pulling apart her body as it contorts into a massive shadow--
He feels sick. The coffee forgotten, Reigen turns on the sink and leans over the counter, splashing his face with water and trying to force the dry heaving of his lungs to stop so he can actually breath.
