Getting those gains.
Who: Gladio and Open
When: Day 23
Where: Gym
What: Gladio is fed up of being limited. He's at the gym and slowly working on the arm that he hurt during the mission.
Warning: Shirtless Gladio. Not for the faint of heart!
All that was really left of his wound was a scar to add to the rest of his war wounds. Was it 100%? No. Did Gladio care? Hell no. He was done with it. He was done with the feeling of uselessness. He was done with the fussing and the worrying over every little thing he did. He was done with feeling so damn depressed he hadn't left his cabin in the last two days.
He got up that morning with renewed determination and the sling came off. It was such a damn relief. Immediately he started to feel better. So he took himself to the gym.
Of course he wasn't about to go and push himself and throw himself into his usual routine. He wasn't that stupid. A little rehabilitation would be needed to strengthen his arm. But he could do what he could to make himself feel better. And that's what he intended.

But Gladiolus' actions piqued some of his endless curiosity, and so he waved to the recovering man.
"Good afternoon. You go by Gladio, correct?"
Not his full name!
no subject
"That's right..." Gladio straightened up and gave the creature talking to him a curious look. "And you are?" He was sure he should have known and was almost possible someone had mentioned it, but he just couldn't remember.

"I only joined this train after the last mission, which is likely why we haven't met yet."
no subject
"You are probably right." He gave the robot a small smile. "How are you liking it here so far?"
no subject
"For being a place I didn't consent to be in, in a body I have no reason to be familiar with... actually quite well, despite the circumstances."
Such went for most of them, Webmind figured.
no subject
"Well... glad you're doing well all things considered." Was the only way he could think to reply to that.
no subject
"The same to you, Gladio," Webmind replied.
"That is, you do look to be doing well."
Recovering from injuries aside.
no subject
"Something like that. As well as can be, all things considered. But thanks." He knew he would be doing a whole world better if he wasn't stuck on a train and had some open spaces to enjoy.
May have to keep this thread short, whoops! ^^; Apologies.
"Regardless of whatever strangeness we have to put up with, at least we can all count ourselves alive to deal with it."
He paused.
"Not that that goes for the actual ghosts among us, but still."
Uh, sure, not a problem. ^^
No, he was not freaked out in the slightest! Big strong guy like him? Definitely not.
Well, we could probably make this tangent last a little while longer... XD
"That does seem to be how they describe their own existence. The girl Ivy is one."
no subject
He gave a little shiver and couldn't help taking a step closer to Webmind, since he was lowering his voice to speak. "... And you're sure that's what she is?"
no subject
"It is more a matter of, not having previously encountered ghosts myself, if it reasonable to consider the metaphorical spade a spade."
You try telling a ghost she doesn't exist! Whether it is real in his world or not, it seemed imprudent to extend that sentiment to how other worlds worked.

Aliens he could get. Magic he could get. Ghosts?
He shook his head. "That's still... I mean... I..." What did he mean? Was he a little freaked out? Okay, yes, just a little bit. Ghosts were a strange thing even in his world and he's seen some strange things travelling with Noctis. But actual ghosts were something in books and in movies. Not walking around and apparently talking.
"This is insane... Just when you think this place couldn't get crazier!"
no subject
Despite the info-bomb he's just dropped, Webmind's screen still showed a distinctly bemused expression.
"Every new person, a revelation."
no subject
"... Insane." He repeated under his breath. Then gave himself a little shake. "Thanks for letting me know.
no subject
"Best wishes to your health, Gladio."

Aaand a proper thread wrap. Thank you for the thread!
