[For Noct: Late-Morning]

The problem with even strange trains traveling through the Void going to different universes and missions and stuff is if you're there long enough, even that gets dull. There were plenty of good things going on in his life, but there was only so many times you could play the same four virtual reality video games and wash the dishes before you were going stir crazy. It didn't help that he knew Noct was on board but had been keeping to himself and sleeping too much. So with the help of a random roommate on their way out, Prompto came into his buddy's room and without warning came bounding over and pounced playfully on his sleeping friend. "Chocobo attack!"

[OTA]

Prompto wandered around the train with his camera poised and ready. He crept up to various items and sometimes people from a distance to snap pictures. It was a mix of whatever inspired him in that moment. Some were pretty things and others just unique snapshots in life on a Voidtrecker. He didn't have any particular plan of what to do with these pictures, but it gave him something to do.

[OOC: Feel free to catch him anywhere on the train either taking a picture and your character notices or maybe taking a picture of your character in middle of doing something.]

He had been asleep so peacefully when he was suddenly attacked. He made a very dignified squeak as he flailed underneath his friend. He grunted and opened his eyes. "Prompto..." He groaned. "I think that was my spleen..."

Prompto giggles and then settles himself with his back against the wall, legs draped over his friend's torso like an ottoman. "But you've been sleeping forever! I almost started a third sink of dishes. Look at my fingers! This is finger abuse." He sticks his hands in Noct's face to show off how wrinkled the skin was- which was only mild and not at all worth whining about.

Noct snorted. "They look awful. I think we need to amputate." He rolled his eyes. "I've just been ignoring chores. I don't even know how to do laundry." Really, it was probably best Noct not try to use the laundry machine. "And sleeping is good. You should try it."

[bethereprompto]

He gave Noct a playful shove for that answer. "Of course you don't! You just made Iggy do it! It's why you were so smelly when you showed up on the platform." He wasn't, Prompto's just trolling him.

"Hey, I sleep just fine, thank you! Maybe if you had a Gladio sized pillow you'd sleep better and wouldn't need so much of it. Hey! You should come join us tonight!"

Noct grabbed Prompto and put him in a headlock. "If I was stinky, you were rank!" He laughed. He let go and sighed. He raised an eyebrow when it was suggested he join Prompto and Gladio. "Isn't that a little...like...weird?"

Prompto yelped as he was grappled. He struggled but not too hard and it was hard to sound convincing when he kept laughing. "I'm perfect! I never smell! Not ever!"

He flopped down beside Noct, no longer using him to prop up his legs but along side him. "What? No, I mean for like a nap or something. What's wrong with that? We slept together all four of us in tents. It's the same thing only.. closer and using Gladio as a pillow." He was sure the Big Guy wouldn't mind. What could be wrong with this idea?

He snickered and ducked his head. "I wish I could share with you the other stuff though. Some of the things he can do Noct.. It's so good. So. Good." It was hard to hide the sun that was his smile behind his hands.

"You already forget that time we didn't shower for three days?" Noct laughed. They all smelled really bad then.

Noct blushed and looked at the ceiling. "Well, that's why...I mean, you guys are a couple now. I would just be a third wheel."

He couldn't believe how bold Prompto was being! "Dude...no need to brag..."

He snickered and wrinkled his nose. "I couldn't forget that even if I wanted to! I don't know what Gladio got into but remember by the end he was making me gag." It was probably blood or something they'd been fighting. It also might not have really been Gladio but Prompto who was really behind that particular stink.

He snuggled in against Noct's side and put an arm around his waist. "Yeah but we're still us. You've never been or ever would be a third wheel. Maybe we're just a tricycle?" He didn't know! Why was there all these rules on stuff. It was always the four of them and the world. He sighed and put his head on Noct's shoulder. This really was comfy. How did Noct get such a comfy bed?

"Sorry! It's just.. I usually can talk to you about anything, you know? How come I can't talk to you about this?"

"I think it's fair to say I never take advantage of the ability to shower now." Noct nodded sagely. He couldn't stand the smell, and was surprised he never gagged over it.

Noct's heart was raising over how Prompto was touching him. He never realized how warm his friend was.

"You can still talk to me about anything...I dunno...I guess maybe it's just different for me. Never really been a topic of discussion for us...plus, you just told me you want me to try out the things your boyfriend can do..."

He'd really missed Noct. Sure, his friend had been around for a week or so by now, but the novelty hadn't quite worn off yet. It had been such a dark place to have fallen to. A part of him wondered if he'd ever fully recover from it. These moments when they could just pal around and be together were healing though and he soaked them up.

When his words were repeated back to him, he could see how that might be a little wrong. "Sorry. I'm not trying to make you uncomfortable." He wondered what Gladio would think of him talking like this. Would he see the intention that Prompto was just so enamored he couldn't shut up about it or would he feel betrayed for the blonde not keeping what they had done in private stay private.

"... is it wrong to think like that?"

Noct thought about what Prompto had said before...about Prompto liking him. He guessed if that was the case, it wasn't so weird...but it made Noct oddly jealous.

"I know, Prom. It's not that I'm uncomfortable, I just..." He scratched the back of his neck. "I...just...can't give you what it seems like you want. I doubt Gladio would ever see me like that..." And that stung a little, honestly.

"Then he doesn't have eyes," he tossed back. "Stop moving, you're ruining the fantasy of a Noct pillow for me!" He snickered at the tease. It was easier to joke around and snuggle than to deal with his dilemma of honestly being in love with two different guys.

"Why not? If he can see me as someone special, you know he has to think that about you too. You're way more special than I am." He yawned. This was having the reverse effect than what he'd intended, which was wake Noct up. Although he couldn't complain about how nice and warm the bed was and it had that distinct 'Noct' scent. They might have been joking about being stinky a few moments ago, but Noct normal scent was very pleasant. It smelled like home.

His hand slid up Noct's abs and chest till he reached his own face and rubbed his eyes. He only thought about it after the fact that wow, his best friend had some impressively hard abs. "What if I asked him?"

Noct let out a long-suffering sigh and stopped moving, just to appease his best friend. "We've had a weird relationship, man. We used to hate each other."

Noct's expression softened at Prompto's self-deprecating words. "You're way more special. Why won't you believe me when I say that...?"

His breath hitched when Prompto slid his hand up. He blushed wildly at the suggestion. "Look, don't...don't ruin your relationship. I couldn't forgive myself if I broke you two up..."

The comment had come out so automatically, he hadn't thought what kind of response he'd get for it. Now that Noct was being so gentle and telling him he was special, Prompto looked up at him with red cheeks and a quietly adoring smile. "Because you don't get how special you are."

He thought for a few moments about their options. He also didn't want to hurt Gladio. If his big bear of a fella wasn't okay with this, then he wouldn't want what they had ruined. However, what if something good came of it instead? What if..

"You've never really said what you think about it though. Like.. if it were an option. What would you, Noct, want?"

"I'm really not..." He was just royalty. There was nothing special about him aside from that. Prompto was so much more. His smile, his positive attitude, his perseverance... And he was so handsome to boot.

Noct looked away, unable to meet Prompto's gaze. "I...don't deserve it. I don't deserve to want it..."

[bethereprompto]

"See?" Prompto said, this obviously was clear evidence of what he'd just said. Noct was humble and brave and strong and so incredibly handsome. He was so adorably grumpy too!

Prompto frowned as he started at the side of Noct's head where he was resting his head on the boy's shoulder. "Don't say that. You deserve everything. It's not right what's happened so far and you've gotten all kinds of crap thrown at you. You deserve better. But if you don't want.. I mean, if that's not something you want. Then it's okay. Really. I'm happy being your friend. You're stuck with me, Mister!" He squeezed his grip around Noct's waist again playfully.

"I don't see anything." Noct said. He couldn't see what Prompto saw in him.

When he was squeezed, he leaned against Prompto. "I didn't say I don't want it...didn't say that at all. But you guys have been through so much because of me. Luna died because of me. How can you say I deserve anything like this...?"

"Really?" He shook his head. It seemed impossible that the other boy could really miss everything he was. "Noct, you're everything. Do I need to go get Gladio to help me tell you how great you are? I will do it, dude!"

All of his joking evaporated at the mention of Luna. It still hurt that she had died. It wasn't just Noct who had lost her. They all had. He still had her letter tucked away- the one that started him down the road that would ultimately give him everything he could've wanted.

"Because you're Noct." He didn't have a better reason, so there was a stubbornness to that answer. It was the only one he had and it should be enough. It was the reason he did everything else in life. Except now he also had Gladio, which made things a little confusing.

"I know my royalty doesn't mean anything to you...but..." Noct let out a shaky breath. "But what am I, aside from that..."

And then Prompto said those words that took his breath away. That's all he really wanted to be seen as. Just Noct. Prompto knew that, but he probably didn't realize how much it meant to Noct.

"Prom...I..." He didn't know what to say. Should he do something? Say thank you? All he wanted to do was lay with Prompto.

"A guy with a really cool car," Prompto supplied with a laugh. "I mean, come on! The Regalia is awesome! Totally makes up for all the royalty junk, right?" He was teasing, of course. He knew being a king was way more than that.

He sensed Noct was trying to say something and smiled, against his shoulder. "I know." And he really did! After a beat, he added, "Sorry I copped a feel there a few minutes ago. Dude, your abs are sick. You need to eat more cake so the rest of us can measure up."

Noct laughed softly. "She was a pretty awesome car..." He was sad that they had wrecked her.

When Prompto apologized, he shook his head. "It's okay...didn't realize I had toned up so much. But you're pretty fit, too..." He poked Prompto's arm. "I mean, look at these guns."

"Was?" Prompto caught that word and lifted his head so he could see Noct's face better. "'Was' because we're not in Eos right?" What happened to their car? Please don't tell him he wrecked it!

He squirmed with a laugh when his biceps were poked. "This is clear evidence we shouldn't have to eat vegetables, isn't it? If we can look this good without them. Maybe Iggy isn't right about everything."

[sonoflucis]

"Prom, I told you this the first day, remember? I crashed it after the train..." Noct couldn't blame Prompto for not remembering. Noct had told him a lot.

"Maybe." Noct said. "But... I've buffed up more on this trip with Iggy's cooking everyday..."

Right. There had been a lot going on that day. He'd listened, but maybe he hadn't fully processed it or processed it right. Either way little facts kept slipping from his mind, like this one. Well, the Regalia wasn't exactly a small fact.

He curled in a little tighter to Noct's side. "Can he really still cook?" He asked, knowing Noct knew what happened to Iggy. "Like.. he can't really, can he?"

Noct shook his head. "No... He can't." His voice was tight. "He's trying his best just to keep up..." He bit his lip. "That's what I mean, Prom. I'm nothing but bad luck..."
