He opens an eye from his feigned nap and slowly grins over his shoulder at his friend.
"Now that you mention it!" As if he'd forgotten! Wuxian hops to his feet and absently dusts himself off. Then playfully sweeps an arm in the general direction of where he assumes the newest car is. "Please!" He can be polite when he feels like it! Even if maybe he's also teasing too...
Kaito can play along too! So he doffs an invisible hat, twirls an invisible mustache, and harumphs, voice abruptly switching to the deep growl of Inspector Nakamori, not that Wuxian knows who that is - just that he suddenly sounds like a growly adult.
As soon as Kaito mentions singing, Wuxian grins - even as he fumbles the microphone. Not enough to drop it, he's not actually clumsy unless he's drunk, but there is definite fumbling before he inspects it with open interest and curiosity.
"This, my friend! Is a microphone! A toy one, but it is, for all intents and purposes, essentially as useful as a real one. Basically, a micophone is a way to artifically enhance your volume, using electronics."
He shows him the on off switch.
"See this wire? It collects the impulses created by your voice, turns 'em into electronic signals, and transmits them to the computer, here! And then it pumps it out through the speakers at an increased volume. Now! Kareoke is awesome fun that happens when you sing along to songs that have the lyrics on the screen. If everyone has a mike... well~"
He listens intently, noting each thing Kaito points out and explains what the use is. Some of the words are less familiar, but...he gets the idea quickly.
Now almost bouncing on his heels, he reaches out to sling a playful arm around his friend's shoulders. And mirrors whatever position Kaito takes (even if it's ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS) as he's not sure how to really hold the microphone and...turns his attention to the screen with words and musical notes.
And he proves he has a pretty good voice and ear, singing along with fair accuracy.

"Right then, right then! This way, look lively!"

Wuxian laughs and obediently straightens up as much as any Lan could - and steps right along after the other, still grinning.

"So I was browsing the selections and... do you guys have karaoke?"

He blinks at the strange word and scrunches his face up in an attempt to mimic the sounds. "What's...karayokey...?" That would be a no.

"EXCELLENT. I found a musical with sing-a-long lyrics. I'll show you how it's done."
Drags over the micophone and shoves one into Wuxian's hands.

"Excellent! So this movie is called Sing Cat Sing, and I have no clue what it's about, but the songs are apparently easy to learn, and REALLY CATCHY."
He grins and pushes play.
The songs are, indeed, very catchy. Baby shark level catchy. Once learnt, they will stick in the mind for literal ages.
