The girl giggles, softly clapping her hands together. "Right, right! Maru won't bite, he's a very good cat." (It's not that she doesn't get the joke - she is aware of his true nature, after all, but she's more just pleased at Maru being such an adorable kitty to everyone.)

And the smile that Glorfindel gives her is returned right away with a nod.

"Poor Maru was lying on the platform all by himself, and he looked so energyless.. I was really worried something bad had happened to him, so I took him with me on the train. He's doing a lot better now though, so I'm glad."
