Party Time

Who: Everyone who wants to attend.
What: It's a party for all, but the pairing up part is for singles only.
When: Day 19 of Fiddlesticks
Where: Gym Carriage
Warnings: Who knows atm just Minako being Minako will add more as things happen.

[Minako figured she did the best she could for the party. Though she also wondered if perhaps she might not have that many people come. Sure she wanted to put singles together, but at the same time, she simply wanted people to have fun.

In the dressing carriage, people will find costumes and masks that were more gothic in nature. There was food and hopefully some forms of sweet treats for those looking for it as well as a variety of drink, mostly non-alcoholic.]

Mm. Let's head back to the rock garden.

[ Kaiba smiles as he holds tight to Yugi's hand, the noise of the party dying away behind them. It's peaceful out here...and once they're alone, he reaches for his own mask. ]

Let's be sure we left with the right person.

Oh! Persephone starts and guiltily untangles her hand from her hair and tucks it behind her back.

"I wasn't tearing my--I!" She sputters and her roses throw out more leaves in her embarrassment. "Gods, I'm sorry, I'm--yes, friends would be lovely. You aren't making me uncomfortable, honest!"

"Oh I don't mind the flavor, it's just different. It's the color that throws me off. I love a good sharp salty cheese." And the she realizes she's rambling about cheeses.

"Sorry, I don't do meat or anything, so I care probably more deeply than most about cheese. I wish I'd known that she needed a little help with the food, I have some eggplants growing in the greenhouse that I could have nudged along."

Not really. I've seen similar things in the hearth after the fire died.

[ In other words, please don't eat it, Bryn. Think of all the brain damage it could do! Alice is at least 99% sure it tastes just about as bad as it looks. ]

I doubt it's little more than like shoveling soot straight into your mouth. Who thought it was a good idea to serve this at a party?

[He had nodded slightly as he walked. He figured the rock garden had been picked mostly because it was doubtful there would be much of anyone there at the moment all things considering.

Once they had stopped Yug9i had moved to get his own mask.]

Okay, but I am confident I have the right person. If I don't then I would be ashamed at not knowing my own boyfriend. [He had soon removed his own first, sort of glad to actually have it off.]

[ Kaiba removes his mask with a laugh, eyes bright with mischief as he looks at Yugi. But he pauses to take in the whole picture...and he looks a little flustered. ]

That suit's perfect for you. Matches your hair...and it's refined without crossing the line into ridiculous.

[ And he reaches to smooth his fingers over the front ruffles. Nice. ]

[He looked the other up and down briefly.]

I'm at least glad you like it. I had no idea what I was doing when picking it out.

[He had turned his head away sheepishly for a moment, a little embarrasses about it before looking back.]

But I can at least say you look good.

[ Kaiba preens a little. He can't help it. ]

[ He finally leans down for a kiss, pulling Yugi up to meet him. ]

[Yugi gently kissed back, moving to go on his tiptoes if he had to.]

Are you planning on going back after we've spent a little time alone together?

That depends...I'll go back with you if you want, Yugi.

[ He moves to sit on one of the benches so they can more easily talk. ]

But it's so rare I get to be with you without others watching. There's a side of me I'd rather not show the public.

I don't have to be there if you want to go back alone, Seto. But... I was considering going back afterward. The party is fun in its own way after all.

[Plus he was sure that he could actually get better at dancing. Or at least he wanted to try for whenever this was to happen again. But walking over to the bench he went to sit down.]

So it's a side you'll only show to me, huh? [He smiled as he playfully nudged him.]

But it does make me wonder how the other couples manage on the train.

That sounds like fun. Probably not in the cabins, since they're so cramped. But we should see if we can maybe borrow the cinema car or something and close it off to have a giant slumber party.

She laughs softly. "Hey, no worries. I'm a vegetarian too, so I get it. I'm not as big into cheese, but you've gotta have something when 90% of most menus are meat dishes, right?"

The other girl's words have her a bit curious, but she'll ask about that later. "Oh really? Some eggplant sounds really good right now."

Hm, another strike. Third time's the charm?

"In that case... want me to get you out of here? I can put you in your cabin, or where you wanna chill." Della could always return to the party later, it was no biggie. This person needed help, so she would help, plain and simple.

... I hope I'm using those terms right. It's been hard trying to find out what slang is current and what makes me sound lame.

"Easy, Spring Cleaning!" Della says as she puts up her hands, trying to make a placating gesture. "I was only kidding. How about we take a deep breath and start over?"

...ah, are you sure that's all right?

I did...and yes, it's fine. I'm not here to date, after all.

[ She can guess what Minako must be planning ]</small It's far more important that you can all enjoy yourselves after dancing. It tires you out, doesn't it?

She has so much energy it can make us all dizzy!

But I'm glad. Everyone deserves a break. How have you been settling in?

"It would be lovely to learn! I'm sure it's not as simple as you think but I'd love to try." She beams up at him and gestures to her hair, tumbling halfway down her back.

"Do you need longer hair than mine is? I can do pretty much any length."

Of course, who was going to be arriving with Trowa other than Quatre. The blond had gotten himself nicely dressed up, which was not a surprise at all. However, he was walking in on Trowa's arm.

"This is some party."

"Um." He blinked at him and looked around. He's really not sure. Dancing might be fun but he really doesn't have a clue what he is doing.

"I don't know how."

And surely there were far better people for Inigo to dance with.

[Rapunzel hadn't been overly keen on the clothing of choice for the party so instead had worn something different.

She had been quietly studying the food that had been on offer before she looked over.]

[This nerd didn’t get the memo about dress codes. In fact, she’s still in her garish Team Orange hoodie, drifting awkwardly through the crowd in an attempt to pass through the Gym Carriage. To be fair, she might be excused for lacking a mask- whatever face SXT-2 had has been long since destroyed by the feathered growths that now stick out of it. But everyone deserves better than their boring Team hoodie. Even this weirdo that’s just passing through, right?

With the unusual density of people and changed furniture arrangements, she’s having quite a bit of trouble getting out of here. She might be here a while… so anyone who would like to give her a makeover or just talk her into partying has plenty of time to try! ]
