Party Time

Who: Everyone who wants to attend.
What: It's a party for all, but the pairing up part is for singles only.
When: Day 19 of Fiddlesticks
Where: Gym Carriage
Warnings: Who knows atm just Minako being Minako will add more as things happen.

[Minako figured she did the best she could for the party. Though she also wondered if perhaps she might not have that many people come. Sure she wanted to put singles together, but at the same time, she simply wanted people to have fun.

In the dressing carriage, people will find costumes and masks that were more gothic in nature. There was food and hopefully some forms of sweet treats for those looking for it as well as a variety of drink, mostly non-alcoholic.]

"Ah.." That compliment is for sure enough to get Inigo really flustered. But in a good way though. There aren't many compliments that could mean more to him, and that applies to both sides of that coin. The fact that he's a good dancer - he's so worried other people might judge him on that, after all! - and the fact he's taking after his mother, who is just perfect.. Inigo may not think either compliment applies to him all that much, but if Taiki can see him that way, he's already flattered enough.

It takes a moment for him to even snap himself out of it before he's able to properly speak up again.

"A-Ah, of course I don't mind." He might miss her like hell every since day, but talking about her isn't so bad. That way he can remember the best moments with her and leave out all the bad ones. "She was just incredibly kind and gentle to anyone she met. Mother really has the talent to make anyone she speaks to feel loved and welcomed.. And even though she may be a little shy at times, she always tries her best all the same."

(Does that sound like someone? Yeah, it may be clear which parent Inigo takes after..)

"She married my father despite having absolutely no noble standing, but that makes it all the more obvious that he just loved her for who she was." That's a tidbit he wouldn't tell just anyone, but considering Taiki at least knows about his princely secret, he figures it can't hurt to add it in this case. The music drowns out their conversation to everyone else around them anyway.

"Nonsense, it sounds very cool." they exclaim, their head tilting as they try to imagine what it is the spider is talking about. "Is that like... witches and cats and such?" they ask, curiously, and it becomes quite obvious that no, they don't know what a magical girl genre of anything is.

"'Witchy' is in, this season."

"Oh, no no no no, not literally, that never ends well." Della answers with a hand up. "I mean like changing the way we thought we knew history... like finding out a great hero was actually just a thief, or a lost civilization chose to hide itself away!"

[ But she shouldn't! Hurt! Madoka's! Toes! ]

...neither of us are.

[ Ple Two just laughs, briefly. ]

If there was one downside to his mask, it was that it covered part of his mouth. Trowa smiled, though, and held Quatre as close as he could as they swayed. "So do I. Means I can hold you close like this."

He's realised he's embarrassed Ingio a bit and feels a little guilty. But not so much because he was telling the truth. Inigo is a good dancer and he is sure that he takes after his mother in such a way.

In more than just that, he realises as Inigo keeps talking. Because Inigo was like that as well, kind, gentle and with an ability to make people feel cared for just by being there.

"That must mean they married just for love, it is good to hear." Almost like an old fairy tale. In a world where nobility came through bloodlines. Where people inherited kingdoms and marriage was often political. So to marry for love in such a situation, their love must have been strong indeed.

"She sounds like a really amazing person."

"Yeah, though who do you mean by her?" She asked tilting her head slightly. "Is there someone you know, or someone on the train you are talking about?"

Whichever it was it had Minako excited to get to know them. After all there weren't really a lot of people she could really talk to about that kind of thing on the train.

But first things first; Dancing. Once she was on the dance floor, Minako's moves were at least for the most part energetic. A lot of energy.

You would be surprised how long some people remember things. Some could hold it against you forever. [ And sure, being made fun of isn't the worst thing people could do in that case.. but as someone who's often been ridiculed and has taken it very personally, Alice thinks it's not great all the same.

Also, yes, she's weirdly invested in this for someone who pretends to not care about others, huh. Almost as if she doesn't want Bryn to have to endure any negative consequences from it! ]

Can't you do something on a slightly smaller scale? It's not like there's something big at stake here.

"That's much better."

And reassuring, judging by the way Alice tensed up earlier and now seems to relax - as far as Alice can ever relax, really - on Della's shoulder.

"Most great heroes were just thieves anyway. "Heroes" love to pretend they are so much better than they actually are."

Even now a part of him screams to stop Yuki, but he just can't. It'd feel too forceful even for him at this point, so Inigo just allows that hand to slip out of his, and then watches Yuki go. Sure, the other may have been smiling, but there was so obviously something wrong.

And the worst part? He has no idea what. If he had an idea, he could at least fix it, but he's completely baffled. Inigo has no idea how the situation ended up like this, other than the thought that clearly he must have been the one who did something wrong. He must have hurt or upset Yuki for some reason with his big, dumb mouth that can somehow never seem to stop talking in time. That's exactly why he can't chase after the other right now. He doesn't deserve it.

For a few moments Inigo looks hopelessly lost, just staring at the spot where he saw Yuki's retreating back only a few moments ago. But then he realises he really can't let anyone see him like that, so he quickly and nervously brushes a hand through his hair and tries to smile again. It's fine. He can just smile and pretend to have fun at the party for the rest of the evening before going to cry it all out in the shower later. For now, he'll just continue to mingle here the best he can.

He'd partly joking. Not knowing the song or the singer (though he had a feeling he might have heard the song before at the other party) Gladio was just going off the lyrics. And those amused him.

"Really? I thought it was about sex." Gladio grinned and shrugged. "Wither way she's having fun."

[ Madoka doesn't sound surprised as much as she sounds hopeful. Sure, she likes it too, but dancing at least seems remotely closer to a list of possible activities someone who grew up normally like Madoka would enjoy compared to someone like Ple Two. ]

Dancing with you... anyways.

[ Maybe one or two other people could get her to dance and like it. That's probably about the limit for her. ]

"I've heard it... I think it's popular stuff from back home." Maru wrinkled his nose delicately and have an unhappy shake of his head. "I don't like it." Though he wasn't much of a music fan at all. Though there were some video game soundtracks he enjoyed.

"Ham... That's mostly what we have here." The meat of the day was always some kind of pork product. He was told each month it changed. This month it was pork in all it's forms. Including a lot of ham and bacon.

Still, a sandwich was a sandwich and it was hard to get them wrong. Maru eyed some of the more well done items on offer and repressed a shudder. "The safer option I think."

"Depends on what you define as a hero." Della never seemed to lose her cheer, even with Alice's negativity. "I'd say my family's pretty heroic! Not perfect, but pretty darn good."

Perhaps. They might end up finding out they have some respectfully slightly unusual things in common, maybe.

"Indeed it was." And very much not his style. "But your dress is quite lovely." Still smiling quite politely, but he does sound earnest.

"Oh- well, you could say that." Does conjuring it out of the ether count as doing something to it?

[ It's alright, he's getting pretty used to the fact that people do really come in all shapes and sizes. And species. Which, technically, was a truth he already knew, but it wasn't quite this all-encompassing. ]

I must say I haven't been to a masquerade party in a long time, myself. [ A couple of centuries. ] This is rather...quaint, but everyone seems to be in high spirits.

can he use a small miracle on her? She probably won't notice

Aziraphale stutters in confused response, vaguely wondering if there's some sort of drink he should stay away from (specially since he and a particular demon have seemingly made it their mission to drink as much as possible this evening).

"Oh, only the classics." How does he know that when he's never had to use them? Who knows. "I hear holding your breath and plugging your nose is a good method."

You know... where I come from, there are a tribe of elves who live underground – they prefer it greatly to living on the surface. Perhaps it's the same for the humans of your world?

Really? I thought they were already quite small-scale... nothing's getting damaged and no one's getting hurt, after all.

[ THAT'S HER CRITERIA FOR "SMALL SCALE", HUH ]

"Still uncomfortably airy, and I'm uncertain if I like that or hate it," Wen Qing admits. "It feels very different from wearing robes or uniform." And there is cleavage. She peers down along her body, giving herself a doubtful look.

Her lips curl again. Much like Lightning, she finds herself relieved by the choice of date, funny as it is. She is certain she wouldn't be able to talk so freely to some random stranger on the train. "But a friend of mine said it suits me and I trust her."

Quatre's mask at least was smaller so it was easier to see his face as he smiled back at Trowa. "I like that." And he pressed closer, letting his head rest against Trowa's shoulder. Yes, it was a bit forward... but they were at a dance together.

"Oh whenever is easiest. A few days maybe? Give us time to get back into our routines, if you can call them that."

She's still reeling a little at that list of duties. And now he does...what? Help in the greenhouse? Do pretty things with his hair.

"You must be bored senseless if you're used to doing that much. I was in schooling when I left but even at my most busy, I was never looking after beings like that. It was all flowering fields and forests."

"We'll have to see! I wrote down chores last month and it sort of looks like it goes in a pattern but two months is not exactly enough to...But--right. I'd love to make it. I hope we get something delicious for next month's ingredient. When I arrived it was onions? Which--sure, delicious, but so easy to get tired of."

With a laugh, she pushes back her hair and looks sheepish, "That's half the reason I have so many things going in the greenhouse. You get so tired of the same sort of things for a whole month."
