Party Time

Who: Everyone who wants to attend.
What: It's a party for all, but the pairing up part is for singles only.
When: Day 19 of Fiddlesticks
Where: Gym Carriage
Warnings: Who knows atm just Minako being Minako will add more as things happen.

[Minako figured she did the best she could for the party. Though she also wondered if perhaps she might not have that many people come. Sure she wanted to put singles together, but at the same time, she simply wanted people to have fun.

In the dressing carriage, people will find costumes and masks that were more gothic in nature. There was food and hopefully some forms of sweet treats for those looking for it as well as a variety of drink, mostly non-alcoholic.]

Was this how Prompto thought all the time? Gladio wanted to laugh again. He didn't think that Inigo would react the same way Prompto did to his methods of calming the blonde down. So he needed to find a different way.

So he moved to lift his hands and drop them into Inigo's shoulders and leaned down so that he was looking directly into the teen's eyes. Gladio was smiling, there was actual affection in that smile, his eyes were calm, warm chocolate brown. Nothing threatening here!

"Inigo... Chill. I'm sorry I teased you. But I promise, I do it to everyone I consider a friend, even Prompto. Especially Prompto. And yeah, thinking before you say something is a thing people do. But..." It was cute when people like Inigo didn't do it, and it was good for a laugh. Gladio didn't say that though, he didn't want to set him off again! "... You're good how you are. So relax."

Duo just stared, not sure if Glorfindel was joking or not. He really wanted to see it as funny... He couldn't see himself with his hair up and a tiara unless he was trying to infiltrate some rich kids all girls school and the only way was via a party where guys weren't allowed.

"... You've got balls, Glor. Don't think I could pull off a look like that!" And no way he would try!

Ah.. Madoka does understand the younger girl's sentiment a little. It's true that there are a lot of adults around.. but in her mind she's already going over the people closer to her own age, trying to figure out if she could maybe introduce some of them to Alice?

.. But then she's completely distracted when Maru kneels down like that. The way he pushes up his mask like that, and the things he says.. It's so cute! Not to mention so sweet, especially since Alice seems so worried about having little friends. Sure, Maru might not necessarily really be Madoka's pet.. but she can't help but feel the kind of proud pet owner reaction to this display all the same. Maru is just being such a good boy!

Madoka makes sure to stay quiet though, not wanting to interrupt a moment this precious. But she sure is smiling as she watches on.

"Oh if you're getting bit while dancing, there's much larger problems at hand. I'm no threat to anything but your toes, promise." With a bright grin, she squeezes his hand, "I'll try to be a quick study."

It's probably a good thing that Aziraphale is quite polite, and won't actually comment on any awkward changes of subject. He's quite guilty of doing the same often.

He doesn't even take into account what her comment might imply - as far as he can tell, she's just correct. "Oh, I'm having a lovely time." Which isn't a lie, but it's not the music or the food that's making his evening so splendid - not even the copious amount of alcohol, though it's helping.

"Can't say the music is quite to my taste, but one makes due." He offers, without making much of a fuss, despite how the music just sounds like noise to him. "And yourself?"

Thank Naga there's nothing actually threatening about it or Inigo might just have screamed at those hands suddenly coming down on his shoulders. But even though the hands suddenly being there in the middle of his freakout is a little startling, Inigo loses all instinct to shriek when he looks at Gladio's face and sees that smile. It is friendly and weirdly calming..

But then Gladio just has to say that last part, and Inigo can feel a blush growing on his cheeks that's spreading all the way to his ears. Why this, he's so bad with actual compliments...

"Ah.. um.." Thankfully this time it's not a flustered outward freakout as much as it's a flustered inward freakout? He looks pretty calm on the outside, just.. very, very shy. His eyes dart around for a moment before his gaze returns to meet Gladio's own.

".. Thanks. That's really sweet to say. And.. uh, you don't need to say sorry for teasing me. It's alright, really. You're a sweet guy, Gladio. I know that even when I'm panicking, so don't worry."

"I would very much agree with your assessment about the music."

Hence why she doesn't seem offended in the slightest that he states it isn't to his taste. This music really is unlike anything Alice has ever heard, and she's pretty sure she doesn't like it. Does this pass as music to other people?

"I'm fairly sure that if someone attempted to play this back where I come from, most people might just faint upon hearing it."

Noct smiled playfully. "Sure that's a good idea? I haven't had many alcoholic drinks in my life. What if it makes me loopy?"

"I don't think a sip'll make you loopy." Gladio grinned. "And anyway... how would I tell?"

Damn but that blush really was cute! Inigo needed to stop that. It would get him into so much trouble being that cute.

Gladio smiled and let his hands drop away from Inigo's shoulders, but not before he lifted one to gently ruffle his hair.

"Glad you remember that. But I'll try and hold myself back. I don't want you having a heart attack or something, Prom'd never forgive me for killing his friend."

"It's appreciated."

Because contrary to how Inigo looks when he works himself up as often as he does, he would prefer to not have a heart attack either, thanks!

There's no real resistance to the hair ruffle though. Inigo may actually like those more than he's willing to admit, considering he thinks it's probably not as appropriate for him to love those so much when he's supposed to be all tough and mature.. but he can't help but like the feeling of Gladio's hand on his head for a moment.

"I should get going-- my boyfriend is waiting for me." There's a smile on his face as he says it. "Do enjoy the party though, Gladio."

Lea nodded and took his cue from Glorfindel with regards to dancing. The result was somewhat awkward, but hey, as long as they were both having fun, right?

He was more sure on the meaning of the word 'awesome' though. "Yeah," he said. "It means 'great' or 'wonderful' when used like this. 'Cool' in this song also means good, though it's not usually quite as strong a word."

Noct pouted before grabbing the drink and taking a huge swig. "Rude. You're being rude."

Gladio laughed, that pout was too damn cute. "Me? Rude? Never. But don't blame me if you start dancing on the tables!"

"You're my Shield and my Boyfriend... You should keep me off the tables." Noct said, looking up at Gladio. "Right?"

"Mmm... I dunno..." He drawled, eyeing Noct up and down with a smirk. "... Wondering what drunk Noct dancing looks like." But, of course, he was only teasing. Mostly. His smirk evened out into a smile, warm and tender. "Promise. I won't let you do anything you'd later be embarrassed about."

"Drunk Noct probably looks stupid." Noct warned, but he was calmed by Gladio's smile. "Thanks, Gladdy."

"Then lets just start with a 'gently buzzed' Noct and save dunk Noct for a more controlled environment." Which meant he was happy for Noct to finish off his drink, but he didn't need to have any more. Not that Gladio would actually stop Noct if he really wanted to. It just didn't sound like he did.

He couldn't help but laugh. "Yeah, but I don't know how astute a student I was." Xander tried. He'd try now, too. Her threshold for embarrassment was probably a lot lower than his, as these things went.

...really, daydreaming about other things was probably a lot more fun than listening to parents drone on about Adult Things, in the long run. If Xander had stopped to think about it, he'd realize that. Especially since everyone at the Artificers' conclave was an adult, and that place was stuffy and boring as hell, whether you were an experiment or not.

"I don't know how much refinement you can expect from me, either. So we're even. I don't think I'll lift my pinky whilst drinking from a teacup, so I'm probably some sort of heathen, once we get right down to it," Xander said. "We'll just have to skip the tea and get it in the kitchen later, maybe. Where no one needs to be embarrassed!"

There. He's got it handled. Or, at least, he thinks so.

Gladio grinned and gave a cheerful nod, accepting that answer, since it didn't seem that Inigo was just making an excuse because he'd teased him too much.

"Alright, kid. You go have fun! I'll just wait here for my dumb blonde to finally make an appearance." He was laughing, but there was real tenderness in his voice when speaking of his blonde. "I'll see you around, Inigo."

Aziraphale's picked up on her accent, of course, but he always forgets that people will come from different worlds as well as different points in time. But what catches him is that, despite how young she seems to be, he absolutely relates to her accessment of the music.

" Yes, quite. But I do suppose styles may vary. I'm more of a fan of the great composers, if I'm being honest." Which absolutely matches his whole aesthetic, probably.

He does at least have something handled. Despite how tense and awkward the idea of dancing with all of these other people present is, the way Xander talks is just so.. casual. So easy, or so it seems to Alice, either way. It seems like his words just flow out naturally, rather than being carefully considered and turned over and over in her head first the way Alice treats her own words.

It's nice. It makes things feel a bit less difficult. It makes her believe that perhaps if he can act so casually about it, she may grow to do the same.

At the very least she's able to bring the faintest trace of a playful edge to her tone as she says: "Well then, why don't you show me how you dance first and then we can decide on your refinement, or lack thereof."

The drink was pretty good, so Noct kept drinking. "Is buzzed a good feeling?" He never really tried.

It so definitely does. As Alice stares at Aziraphale for a moment, she can't help but think he almost looks like some sort of great composer himself - he's got the whole hair part of the aesthetic down, at the very least.

And whereas some people might think twice before just.. saying that, Alice has had a problem with being unable to not speak her mind even before the rest of her grew more cynical.

"So you aren't one of those yourself? You look the part."

"Even identical twins aren't the same person," Glorfindel agreed.

"Can you interact with your Mirror Self? And...how do we know we aren't the Mirrors and they are the real us?" This opens up a whole different world of questions.
