Despite how hard it was for him to confess all of that just now, Yuki's response just.. really is reassuring. That's all Inigo needs, really. Being given a purpose. A reason to go on beyond the fight they're fighting back home. So when they're done with that fight, he'll still have somewhere to go. Someone to be with. He'll still have a place he can be someone, rather than having to go off and disappear somewhere by himself.
And he honestly can't think of a better place to be than right by Yuki's side. He can figure out what he wants to do in Yuki's world later. It doesn't even matter. He'd enjoy doing absolutely anything as long as he was with the other, even if he'd end up having to do some ridiculous heavy work to make ends meet.
"I'd love to go to college with you." The reply comes so instinctively, and he suqeezes Yuki's hands when he feels the other holding them so tightly in return.
.. the fact that that reply was instinctive and without a single thought behind it other than Inigo's dumb puppy love for Yuki is made obvious though when he asks a split second later: "What's college, anyway?" (Like that's the less important part of this equation.)
