Party Time

Who: Everyone who wants to attend.
What: It's a party for all, but the pairing up part is for singles only.
When: Day 19 of Fiddlesticks
Where: Gym Carriage
Warnings: Who knows atm just Minako being Minako will add more as things happen.

[Minako figured she did the best she could for the party. Though she also wondered if perhaps she might not have that many people come. Sure she wanted to put singles together, but at the same time, she simply wanted people to have fun.

In the dressing carriage, people will find costumes and masks that were more gothic in nature. There was food and hopefully some forms of sweet treats for those looking for it as well as a variety of drink, mostly non-alcoholic.]

No but really, how do they get it in cans? She pushes it to the back of mind for a moment, picking up a cracker without cheese and nibbling. Politeness.

"They do but it's not much dedication.' She reaches up to move a vine, tucking it behind a lock of hair, "I grow them there. They--it's kind of part of my powers, flowers and spring and things."

[sos_pilot]

Della raises her eyebrows while nibbling, intrigued. "Powers... so, you're magical?" Witch, sorceress, nature spirit, it'd be a little funny if this cute chick was a goddesses, but what were the odds of that?

[springforth]

"I mean, that's not really what we call it but sure, I guess you could call it magical?" She waves her cracker in a 'sort of' motion. "It's normal for us to have some kind of power."

[sos_pilot]

"Us?" Stranger and stranger. Color Della intrigued. "What's 'us', exactly? Cause I thought you were human, and we don't have any of those back where I'm from, so I don't really know what you can and can't do."

[springforth]

"Oh--what, no. I'm no human. They definitely don't come in this color." She tilts her head. "All browns and peaches. I'm a goddess, we come in every color of the rainbow."

"... Reeeeeeeally."

Della was fondly reminded of one of her BFFs, the moon goddess residing in Ithaqauck. Now she kinda wishes she put more effort into her outfit - though the reminder that her family (the boys, especially) could show up on the train put the brakes on anything more fun.

"In my world, we come in all colors too, mortal and deity. Though there are very few that come as pretty as you."

[springforth]

"Oh, thank you! You look lovely as well." She tucks back a wisp that keeps falling in her face and latches onto the rest of it.

"What sort of deities do you have in your world? I've been told there's a variety, everywhere, but none quite like me and mine."

[sos_pilot]

"Well, there's plenty, but I'm only close to a handful. Zeus is a pretty big jerk, but his kid Storkules is a mighty good hero. Then there's Selene, goddess of the moon? We've been besties forever." Just gunna lean on the table, super casual, put on the charm face, so casual, putting her mask up on the top of her head, very cas.

"She kinda reminds me of you. Tall as the heavens, long flowing hair, knock-out looks."

[springforth]

"Oh, tell me about it. Zeus can be kind of..."

Wait what's happening? Oh--oh she's being hit on again. By a woman? That's new. She takes a big bite of her cracker, mostly to have the excuse to not speak while she tries desperately to find a reply. Um. UM.

"I'm actually pretty short."

Stunning. Ten out of ten. Way to put your foot in your mouth.

Thankfully, the flirting is put on hold for a surprising comparison. "Wait... you know Zeus too?" She gives this some thought, trying to put together what she knows about other worlds and alternates together.

... But she doesn't really give it much thought beyond "Huh. Some things are universal." Half-shrug. Moving on.

"If you're short, the rest of your gods and goddesses must be giants... Then again, I seem to be one of the shortest people here myself." Came with the territory of being a duck, apparently.

[springforth]

"I guess they are..." Which is sort of concerning. She has to wonder if everything turns out the same there. Probably, if Zeus is still around being a jerk to everyone and fathering kids with whomever.

"Oh some of them definitely are. Hades is like--twice my size. Even Artemis and Aphrodite are taller than me." Then a pause as she recalls her manners. "I'm sorry, I haven't introduced myself. Persephone, goddess of Spring. I doubt you've heard of me."

[sos_pilot]

"Hey, if it helps, I doubt you've heard of Della Duck either." She replies with a smirk. Back to flirting! It's a party, may as well "chillax."

"But sometimes being smaller gives you an advantage. Makes sure you get a good, full look at the best things in life." Hint hint.

[springforth]

Well as much as that confirms that she'll never quite rise to much of anything, she brushes it off. It's really sweet of Della to make her feel better.

And as much as she play at naivete as much as the next person, she's not stupid. She knows a come on as well as anyone else. She laughs, shrugging with one shoulder.

"It certainly can, though it makes reaching some of them pretty difficult."

"That's when us short people work together to get what we want." Della jabs her thumbs to her shoulders to show what she means. "Two's better than one."

[springforth]

"Mostly I just climb things. But help is always appreciated.

Gods, it's not that she wants to shut her down but all the dumb things keep coming out of her mouth and is that flirting or anti-flirting and what does she actually want to do. Is flirting with girls, however much she might or might not mean it, against her scholarship? Who even knows. Hestia was noticeably unclear about that.

Thankfully for everyone involved, Della does know where to draw a line. If there's not 100% enthusiastic consent, she can back away gracefully.

.. Okay, maybe not gracefully, but still.

"Hey, you don't have to put up with me if you're not up to it. No feelings hurt." Two thumbs up. "I'm not looking for anything super serious anyway. I've got kids to think about, and I bet they'd be really embarrassed if they saw their mom trying to flirt."

[springforth]

All that little bits of tension, well they don't disappear, but they lessen. Right. She pushes back a big lock of hair and twists the end of it around her finger, all the rest of her tension going into nervously twisting and untwisting it.

"Oh--oh well I'm not very practiced anyways. I've flirted with like two whole people in my life and I'm not even sure one of them could be called flirting." She waves her hands, brushing away the awkwardness. "But I'm flattered, really."

[sos_pilot]

Dang, that kind of charming innocence just adds to her attractiveness! But, no. Della will be good.

"If you don't think it was, then it probably wasn't. It's supposed to be fun for both sides. It's definitely not supposed to make you tear your hair out." Just a bit of gentle teasing.

"We could be friends! Less stress, and I could beat up anyone who makes you feel uncomfortable." Granted, she'd do that anyway, but why not put the offer out there?

[springforth]

Oh! Persephone starts and guiltily untangles her hand from her hair and tucks it behind her back.

"I wasn't tearing my--I!" She sputters and her roses throw out more leaves in her embarrassment. "Gods, I'm sorry, I'm--yes, friends would be lovely. You aren't making me uncomfortable, honest!"

[sos_pilot]

"Easy, Spring Cleaning!" Della says as she puts up her hands, trying to make a placating gesture. "I was only kidding. How about we take a deep breath and start over?"

[springforth]

Her hair curls over her shoulder and she brushes it back with a vague embarrassment. But taking her advice, she breathes in and out.

"You're right, I'm being silly. I don't usually act like this.." One more breath and she changes the subject.

"So--your boys? Has it been long since you've seen them?"

[sos_pilot]

There, a safe topic! More or less.

"I was just with them, before the train decided it needed me." So a couple of days...stretching into a week-ish. "So I better make sure I have plenty of stories to give them when I get back!"

[springforth]

"If it's stories you want, I'm positive the train can give you that." A wry sort of smile comes to her lips as she thinks back over their missions. "Though I hope you get to go back to them soon. I'm sure they miss you."

[sos_pilot]

"Well, unless I can change that on my own, I can't worry about it too much."

Twofold lies - she's going to try and see if she CAN change things and she is going to worry constantly. It's fine.

"But maybe they'll pop up here! And everyone would wanna be their friend immediately!"

[springforth]

"Do you want them to pop up?"

And that's probably rude. But she has to admit, it's strange to imagine wanting to get your kids kidnapped, especially since she's personally been told time doesn't move at home.

"Sorry--I'm just not just used to that...attitude."
