Party Time
Who: Everyone who wants to attend.
What: It's a party for all, but the pairing up part is for singles only.
When: Day 19 of Fiddlesticks
Where: Gym Carriage
Warnings: Who knows atm just Minako being Minako will add more as things happen.
[Minako figured she did the best she could for the party. Though she also wondered if perhaps she might not have that many people come. Sure she wanted to put singles together, but at the same time, she simply wanted people to have fun.
In the dressing carriage, people will find costumes and masks that were more gothic in nature. There was food and hopefully some forms of sweet treats for those looking for it as well as a variety of drink, mostly non-alcoholic.]
OOC: Examples of the type of outfits and such can be found here: costumes and
masks]

The smile was followed by a self conscious laugh. "No..I don't think they'll be jealous." And then there was that last part. So he took Inigo's hand in answer, in order to make him do something else instead of run his mouth and make Yuki feel even more like shrinking into the woodwork.
"And you clearly are not real."
no subject
"If you keep saying that, you might just jinx it and turn me into a ghost." He's clearly just joking though. It's not as if Inigo minds hearing those words - quite the opposite. He's totally unsure how to handle a compliment at that level (Inigo, being good to be true, that's way too much honour for him), but he tries to accept it anyway, even while being flustered.
And now he has Yuki's hand, he can start to gently drag the other out towards the dance floor. Despite Yuki having agreed with the plan, Inigo still seems like he's making sure to be slow and careful about it, like slowly helping a kid that's learning how to swim into the deeper end of a pool.
"Although haunting you means I can hang around you forever, so it sounds like a pretty good deal to me."
no subject
So he took up his position and began to dance with his warrior, feeling more at ease here now with having learned to dance the last time they were like this. And thinking on that made him blush and try not to look at his handsome boyfriend. That blush only increased as he found the words to throw back.
"Haunting me forever almost sounds like something you'd say if you married me."
And no he's totally not looking at you now Inigo.
no subject
And honestly, how is he not supposed to only look at Yuki when the other is blushing so adorably? It's too much for his heart!
But then there's those words, and those sure get Inigo to blush as well. Although he doesn't seem to be ashamed or anything - it's more just.. he's enough of a sap that something about those words makes him feel happy enough to get a tad flustered.
"What, do you want me to save those words until then?"
Don't set up an opportunity for a reply like that if you're not ready to handle it, Yuki!

So Yuki tried to mentally chew on something else when he heard Inigo ask that question. And he just stopped. His brain stopped, his breathing stopped, his functioning stopped. Gray eyes stared almost stupidly at the warrior. Did he just hear what he thought he heard? No, right? Blinking a few times silver grey hair slipped into his eyes and a hand lifted to pull it out.
Several thoughts raced through his head and none of it was verbalized as he felt stupid for asking his next question. "You..thought about that?"
no subject
The hesitation is not there since he isn't sure of his answer - of course he's thought about it - but more just since he's unsure whether it's the right answer. Inigo knows it wouldn't be that strange back in his world, but what if Yuki's world is super different? What if he's going to make Yuki feel bad, or think Inigo is strange or something?
But lying about this would feel worse, so he opts to be honest. He keeps dancing, but his steps slow a little, like he needs to have his focus on this conversation more than on the dancing itself.
"What did you think I meant when I said I'd go to your world with you? That I was going to find someone else to marry there?"
no subject
All he could do was smile though it was thin. "I'm flattered you think so highly of me to leave your people." It was all Yuki could get out because somehow he felt guilty.
no subject
Inigo's cheeks turn slightly pink.
"Well, I do think highly of you. Of course I do. I think you're the best." He's pretty sure he makes that much clear all the time, at least, but he still wants to make sure that despite what he's about to say, that much really is the truth. "But I.. I wouldn't really leave anything behind. The future we traveled from to the past is gone. And in the past I'm stuck in now, my father and mother will have a baby Inigo who will grow up without a war. One different from me."
Probably much better than him. He's lacking in so many ways. The way he's lived has broken him in so many ways too. That Inigo will be able to grow up without any of it. Maybe he can actually become a good person. (Maybe Yuki would have liked that Inigo better than him, he can't help but worry.)
"So there won't be a place for me anymore back there. It would just confuse people as to why there are two versions of the same person around. I'd have to change my name and my looks, and go off to live as a different person somewhere. No one would need me. There's absolutely no reason for me to stick around back home."
no subject
It made his heart ache to hear of the confusion and having to go live elsewhere under a different name. And by the end, Yuki wasn't sure whether to be angry or upset. So the parents would have..a boy with the same name, but wouldn't that make him a Prince still? Apparently Inigo had no desire for his throne or this talk wouldn't even be taking place. Still, it was heartbreaking all at the same time.
"Then..you can decide what you want to do when you..get to my world." The words were spoken with a little hesitation and a whole lot of concern. "Maybe you can go to college with me or figure out something else."
Suddenly he had an urge to drag this boy off the dance floor, but he didn't. Instead he held onto Inigo's hands really tightly to try and reassure both of them that this would eventually turn out alright.
no subject
And he honestly can't think of a better place to be than right by Yuki's side. He can figure out what he wants to do in Yuki's world later. It doesn't even matter. He'd enjoy doing absolutely anything as long as he was with the other, even if he'd end up having to do some ridiculous heavy work to make ends meet.
"I'd love to go to college with you." The reply comes so instinctively, and he suqeezes Yuki's hands when he feels the other holding them so tightly in return.
.. the fact that that reply was instinctive and without a single thought behind it other than Inigo's dumb puppy love for Yuki is made obvious though when he asks a split second later: "What's college, anyway?" (Like that's the less important part of this equation.)
no subject
And then Inigo popped that beautiful bubble with his question as to what college was.
For a moment he thought the warrior had lost his mind. And then it hit him about a few things. Lifespans, higher education, immunizations..all things that would be quite new to the other boy. Things the boy might've died from in his timeline, he could be prepared for. That got the mind working.
"Can you..can you just spend about a month with me in my world before going home?" It might be a foolish request he knew, but he had to try. He would try everything to get Inigo as protected as he could before they had to part.
no subject
Inigo blinks, suddenly giving the other a surprised look. Of all the answers he could have expected to his question, this wasn't one of them. In fact, it's not really an answer to his question at all, but he doesn't really mind that. No, instead he's just curious what about what he was saying made Yuki ask this of all things.
A small part of him hesitates. He feels guilty at the thought of spending time away from the war back home. At least here he has the excuse of not being able to return, but what if he could return and still chose to delay it? What if he somehow wouldn't be able to call upon Naga from Yuki's world and so he wouldn't be able to return to his world after that month?
It's difficult. The thought is downright scary. But Inigo knows that no matter how guilty it makes him feel about forsaking his duty back home, right now his foremost duty feels like it's making sure Yuki's heart is as protected and happy as it can be.
"I.. Of course. If that's what you want, then of course. You know I'd do anything for you." Even the more difficult things like that request. "Why though..?"
no subject
So the why though question has him torn and he can't answer without lying. "Nevermind..it's okay if you don't want to." The silvery head goes down because he can't lie to Inigo. And the truth would only cause a fight. Weakly he smiles and tries his best to just let it go.
"Don't worry about it, I'm sure..you'll be fine, right?" Yuki keeps the smile up just for a moment before shaking his head and a more serious expression shows. "I'm going to go..you enjoy the rest of the party."
no subject
But one thing is clear. He can't just quietly let him leave. He'd feel awful. He already feels pretty panicked as-is.
"Hey, Yuki--" He makes sure to hold onto and squeeze the other's hands as he says it. "I.. Of course you can go if you want to? Or if you're not enjoying the party?" He wouldn't want to stop Yuki if he's just bored or something, but still.. "But I just want to make sure you know-- I want to. I really want to go to your world with you. You know that, right?"
Inigo's gaze is so desperate, worried that somehow he made it seem like he doesn't want to.

"I know." This came out softly and the silvery head slightly bowed. Yuki closed his eyes as he felt his bangs covering his already closed eyes.
What he wanted and what had to be were two very different things and he had to get out of there before anything adverse happened. Pulling Inigo out of the room with him wasn't a good idea so he just opened his eyes, offered another fake smile and as he left, he slowly slid his hand out of the warrior's.
First he was going to get changed and then..go hide somewhere.
no subject
And the worst part? He has no idea what. If he had an idea, he could at least fix it, but he's completely baffled. Inigo has no idea how the situation ended up like this, other than the thought that clearly he must have been the one who did something wrong. He must have hurt or upset Yuki for some reason with his big, dumb mouth that can somehow never seem to stop talking in time. That's exactly why he can't chase after the other right now. He doesn't deserve it.
For a few moments Inigo looks hopelessly lost, just staring at the spot where he saw Yuki's retreating back only a few moments ago. But then he realises he really can't let anyone see him like that, so he quickly and nervously brushes a hand through his hair and tries to smile again. It's fine. He can just smile and pretend to have fun at the party for the rest of the evening before going to cry it all out in the shower later. For now, he'll just continue to mingle here the best he can.
