Party Time

[loveandduty]

Who: Everyone who wants to attend.
What: It's a party for all, but the pairing up part is for singles only.
When: Day 19 of Fiddlesticks
Where: Gym Carriage
Warnings: Who knows atm just Minako being Minako will add more as things happen.

[Minako figured she did the best she could for the party. Though she also wondered if perhaps she might not have that many people come. Sure she wanted to put singles together, but at the same time, she simply wanted people to have fun.

In the dressing carriage, people will find costumes and masks that were more gothic in nature. There was food and hopefully some forms of sweet treats for those looking for it as well as a variety of drink, mostly non-alcoholic.]

She laughs softly. "Hey, no worries. I'm a vegetarian too, so I get it. I'm not as big into cheese, but you've gotta have something when 90% of most menus are meat dishes, right?"

The other girl's words have her a bit curious, but she'll ask about that later. "Oh really? Some eggplant sounds really good right now."

[springforth]

"I know, I love eggplant! Eggplant dip is one my favorites, easy to make but satisfyingly delicious. I'd guess I have a week or two left if I leave them to it. Less if I get impatient."

She takes another nibble, gesturing with it, "I'll save you some, if you like. The dip or the eggplants."

Kitty nods eagerly. "Sure, I'd love some! If it's not too much trouble, I mean." Even though she might have some trouble...cooking it. "I don't think I've tried eggplant dip before, though."

[springforth]

"Oh I don't mind. I ended up cooking for myself a lot this month, bacon being the whole theme for the recipes and all. I'm pretty sure Orange is going to be cooking next month so I shall be in control."

She lights up, "Oh, if you like eggplant, you'll love it. I know half the people I grew up with hated it, but it's delicious. Just roasted eggplant, garlic, some olive oil. Maybe peppers if you're feeling like a little variety. But--the best with some bread to dip."

"Oh yeah, I noticed the whole bacon thing." What was up with that? "Well, if you are in charge next month, I'll definitely have something to look forward to."

Kitty's smile grows as well as she listens to her explain. "Oh wow, that sounds really good! I'd love to try some sometime."

[springforth]

"We'll have to see! I wrote down chores last month and it sort of looks like it goes in a pattern but two months is not exactly enough to...But--right. I'd love to make it. I hope we get something delicious for next month's ingredient. When I arrived it was onions? Which--sure, delicious, but so easy to get tired of."

With a laugh, she pushes back her hair and looks sheepish, "That's half the reason I have so many things going in the greenhouse. You get so tired of the same sort of things for a whole month."

She laughs herself. "Oh wow yeah. That's sure to get old really fast. But that's really cool, being able to grow fresh vegetables. What other kinds of things are you growing?"

[springforth]

"Oh well I'm growing a peach tree of sort on request. Um--the roses on the top, along the--the beam thing?" She makes a movement, an arch over her head, "That's me. I do plants--that's my whole thing. But I try to leave other people's plants mostly alone, unless they ask."

Something about her words reminds her of a question she had earlier, and this time she can't let it alone. "So...do you mean you control plants? Or you have power over plants?"

[springforth]

"Is...Is there a difference?" Honestly she's not sure what it would be. Controlling them is having power over them--at least to her.

"Well...I guess it doesn't really sound like there's a difference," she responds sheepishly. "I just meant...well, see, I know about a guy back home who has the power to control fire. But he can't make it on his own. He can only manipulate it. But I know another person who can create fire."

[springforth]

"Oh, well both, I suppose. I create and while I don't exactly make them move unless they're sort of--it's complicated. But I can control their growth and decay, make them grow in ways I want. I did the roses in my hair." She touches one to adjust its positioning, "More human magic, I assume, on your end?"

[goingthroughaphase]

"Oh wow. That's amazing." She didn't know anyone back home who had plant-based powers, so getting to meet someone who did was really cool.

"Well...I wouldn't exactly call it magic. Though I guess some people might see it that way. But the powers are just...something we're born with. They're tied to our genetics."

[springforth]

The compliment is brushed off with a little smile and shrug of a shoulder. What she says is far more interesting.

"Every person I've talked to with powers seems to have different way of having acquired them and something different to call them. I received mine at birth, I've had them as long as I can remember. Do you have powers? Can I see?"

"Yeah, I'm noticing that too. It's really cool."

Hesitating for just a moment, she nods. "I do, actually. But even though I was technically born with them, the powers didn't manifest until about a year or so ago for me."

At the request, Kitty thinks for a moment as she glances around, trying to see how to demonstrate. Then she places her hand on the table for a moment, before her hand phases through it, as if she was disappearing into it.
