Party Time

Who: Everyone who wants to attend.
What: It's a party for all, but the pairing up part is for singles only.
When: Day 19 of Fiddlesticks
Where: Gym Carriage
Warnings: Who knows atm just Minako being Minako will add more as things happen.

[Minako figured she did the best she could for the party. Though she also wondered if perhaps she might not have that many people come. Sure she wanted to put singles together, but at the same time, she simply wanted people to have fun.

In the dressing carriage, people will find costumes and masks that were more gothic in nature. There was food and hopefully some forms of sweet treats for those looking for it as well as a variety of drink, mostly non-alcoholic.]

OOC: Examples of the type of outfits and such can be found here: costumes and
masks]

Crowley wasn't startled, they knew she was there, in her regular spot, and in fact spun to give her a show of the ensemble they'd selected.

"There's a party. And I haven't gotten to dress up in some time, so... well, why not? Are you going?"

Crowley moved closer, immediately smelling the scent of wine of the spider's breath, strong enough for them to notice it before they leaned over the hammock. It made Crowley's mouth water. The hadn't had a good glass of wine in well... just as long.

"Well, well, well. Someone's been pre-gaming."

"Looking good," she was physically incapable of slurring, but the motion of her limbs as she consistently lost and rediscovered the location of her tablet every few words gave its own impression.

Geez, for a train that prided itself on being extra-dimensional, it sure liked its earth fashions, huh? Or maybe it was going on what the people wanted. Oh. Wait, no. This was the miracle-maker who could manifest clothing.

Nevermind all of that, then. She waved Crowley's mention of pre-gaming aside. Mostly because she had no idea what they were talking about. "I wish I was gaming right now," she typed, without thinking about it. And then, actually thinking about it:

"Nah, parties aren't designed for spiders."

"Thank you." they reply with a grin, watching all the lazy limb motions with great amusement. Crowley wasn't sure what the spider thought they'd meant by pre-gaming, or gaming entirely, but decided it didn't matter. Parties weren't designed for spiders? That was just sad.

"Well not with that attitude." they continued with a look of mild judgement. "What's the problem? Nothing to wear? Social anxiety? Eight left feet?"
kumoko: (but that means)

"All of the above," she complained. "People are going to be dancing, and talking, and wearing outfits that suit them. Isn't that kind of gross? Kind of inconsiderate. Once I become an arachne I'll be able to wear all the cute dresses I want, but this."

A gesture, encompassing the whole bagpipe mess of her anatomy, made worse by how close she was to falling out of her bed. The hammock swung alarmingly. "So I ate a bunch of party food instead, that'll show them."

"So gross." Crowley replies with a chuckle. "You can wear them now, you know."

Crowley motioned to their own gown, as an example. "Tell me what you'd like. I have quite an imagination. We can crash this party together, if you'd like."

"That sounds like the worst Halloween outfit ever. 'Spider in a dress'..."

No, it's too late, she's thinking about it. She can't stop thinking about it. They're right, their dress looks great. She wants to look great. "Do you know the magical girl genre?"

[personal profile] agathokakological 2020-06-19 09:04 pm (UTC)(link)
"Nonsense, it sounds very cool." they exclaim, their head tilting as they try to imagine what it is the spider is talking about. "Is that like... witches and cats and such?" they ask, curiously, and it becomes quite obvious that no, they don't know what a magical girl genre of anything is.

"'Witchy' is in, this season."
kumoko: (well wevs)

Well, technically it's totally witches and cats. She shrugs.

"Yeah, it's witches and cats. But with bows, and sparkles, and existential dread."

Crowley can think of a few cute cartoon witches that might fit the bill, but just for good measure, adds more bows and glitter for good measure. What they come up with is a fairly frilly dress, one that circles the spider's pendicel and flows over her abdomen with purple and black lace. There is a bit of a spiderweb motif, which Crowley hopes isn't too on-the-nose. There is a bow right on the top of the 'waist', and more lace and cloth covers her thorax, with poofy little witch sleeve-caps for each of her legs. They each have a small bow over them as well.

Crowley scratches their chin, looking the spider over a bit. It's actually quite cute, but the demon isn't sure if this is exactly what she wanted. They'd never seen a spider in a dress before.

"I don't know if I captured the existential dread, but did I do ok?" Crowley says, ready to make any adjustments needed.

There's a pause as, firstly, the spider processes the full-on henshin she just missed. Like, poof, suddenly fabric? Man, she should've specified a theme song and some kind of space backdrop.

Next time, maybe. For now, secondly. She rights herself enough that she can align herself with one of the mirror columns in the carriage. Huh, they even got the halloween outfit part...

She turns. Lifts part of the dress, to inspect the lace, and one of the sleeves. Nods to herself, wipes away a figurative tear (ha, spiders don't cry!). She's definitely not sober enough to process the emotions currently running through her atrophied lil hermit brain, because the next thing she knows she's doing her spider best to give Crowley a hug.

Crowley has never been hugged by a spider before, and as such, isn't quite sure they understand what is happening until it's already happened, and they're pulled into the lovingly warm embrace of an arachnid.

"Oh-- that's okay," Crowley starts, but then settles into it, giving her a good pat on the back. "There, there. Looking gorgeous for the party. I did alright, then?"

For the love of all that is infernal please don't let anyone walk in here and see this. They might think Crowley's nice.
kumoko: (OOH BABY YOU KNOW WHAT THAT'S WORTH)

why are all of her first hugs demons

[personal profile] kumoko 2020-06-28 10:29 pm (UTC)(link)
The hug lasts for an inordinate length of time. Not for lack of trying, but, really, now she's started, it's very difficult to make herself stop. It's weird, actually. Like, are these emotions? Probably. She thinks they might be, that someone did something this nice for her. It would be great if she had actual arms for hugging, because her legs are kind of...

Spindly?

Long?

Sharp? Difficult to keep away from Crowley's gorgeous dress?

The important thing is they're not really designed for hugs. So she lets go reluctantly. To save the dress, you understand.

"This is the nicest thing anyone's ever done for me," she types, entirely sincere in the moment. And also not entirely sure that's right, because everything's a bit hazy right now.

Crowley's eyebrows shoot up all the way into their hairline. Quickly, their hands make a bit of a chopping motion at their neck.

"Don't--- never say that. It wasn't nice. And if anyone asks, I had nothing to do with it." they reply, almost scoldingly so, then quickly look over their shoulders to make sure no one's watching or listening in.
