Party Time

Who: Everyone who wants to attend.
What: It's a party for all, but the pairing up part is for singles only.
When: Day 19 of Fiddlesticks
Where: Gym Carriage
Warnings: Who knows atm just Minako being Minako will add more as things happen.

[Minako figured she did the best she could for the party. Though she also wondered if perhaps she might not have that many people come. Sure she wanted to put singles together, but at the same time, she simply wanted people to have fun.

In the dressing carriage, people will find costumes and masks that were more gothic in nature. There was food and hopefully some forms of sweet treats for those looking for it as well as a variety of drink, mostly non-alcoholic.]

OOC: Examples of the type of outfits and such can be found here: costumes and
masks]

[ Don't give her ideas, Della. ]

Well, we need to have some fun where we can, don't we? And it's not like playing around like that ends up hurting anyone. So it's a win-win for everyone!

Nothing hurt but a little pride, and that grows back faster than a hydra head!
draconite: (glance | you're a villain)

[personal profile] draconite 2020-06-15 05:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Don't those usually grow back quite slowly, though? I've heard it can take several days, depending on the hydra...

[ This is what happens when you come from a kitchen sink fantasy setting, huh ]
sos_pilot: by <user name=noimpulsecontrol> (once i get you up there)

[personal profile] sos_pilot 2020-06-16 12:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Really? My experience, they're back lickety-split. Maybe it's a difference of worlds kinda thing.
draconite: (declare | you're saying he's the zero)

[personal profile] draconite 2020-06-17 03:44 pm (UTC)(link)
But that's so fascinating!

[ Bryn clasps her hands together in delight. ]

What could cause such a big difference like that, I wonder?

Who knows? Maybe the same thing that populates my world with people like me, and not... folks like you.

[ Weird flesh not-apes. ]
draconite: (huh? | so nice to meet the demon)

[personal profile] draconite 2020-06-19 03:33 pm (UTC)(link)
But there's plenty of people like you in my world too? Well, not precisely the same, but I'm certain you wouldn't feel particularly out of place if you were to come visit.

[ for a given meaning of "people", anyway. ]

Perhaps you just come from a world without humans?

I haven't seen any. But just because I haven't seen any, doesn't mean they don't exist! For all I know, maybe they have some secret underground colony we haven't discovered yet.
draconite: (? | all villains)

[personal profile] draconite 2020-06-20 11:03 pm (UTC)(link)
[ Thoughtfully: ]

You know... where I come from, there are a tribe of elves who live underground – they prefer it greatly to living on the surface. Perhaps it's the same for the humans of your world?
sos_pilot: by <user name=noimpulsecontrol> (if you could use)

[personal profile] sos_pilot 2020-06-21 11:01 am (UTC)(link)
See? Now it just makes me want to find them all the more. We haven't found elves either... they're usually just in video games.
draconite: (blank | to someone else)

[personal profile] draconite 2020-06-21 02:46 pm (UTC)(link)
So, hydra are quite common in your world but elves and humans are not? How strange!

[ Stranger than a dimension-hopping train, apparently, going by the look on her face. ]

Perhaps you'll have more luck tracking them down when you head back home, now you know what to look for.

I bet it's just a matter of time. I've got a whole lifetime ahead of me... Even longer, if I'm like my uncle Scrooge. Nobody's sure how old he really is.
draconite: (? | all villains)

[personal profile] draconite 2020-06-24 12:19 pm (UTC)(link)
How long is a lifetime for you, anyway?

[ YOU DON'T JUST ASK THAT SHIT BRYN, JESUS ]

[ But as usual, Della takes it all in stride. ]

Well, in my world, if you have a good diet, exercise, and take care of yourself, it's not impossible to get to one hundred, or close to it.

Aah, I see...

[ She folds her arms and nods to herself. It's got, uh, a vaguely condescending sort of air to it. ]

So not all that long, in the grand scheme of things.
sos_pilot: by <user name=noimpulsecontrol> (i'll be holding you so near)

[personal profile] sos_pilot 2020-06-26 12:42 am (UTC)(link)
[ Half-shrug. ]

Depends on what you compare it to. But it does make us make sure to appreciate what we have and what we can do in the time we get.
draconite: (surprise | maybe)

[personal profile] draconite 2020-06-26 08:29 pm (UTC)(link)
[ Nodding sagely. ]

I suppose you'd have to... still, though! It's quite interesting to think about all the differences and all the similarities between all our worlds. It really makes you wonder just what makes them the way they are!
sos_pilot: by <user name=noimpulsecontrol> (if you could use)

[personal profile] sos_pilot 2020-06-27 12:43 am (UTC)(link)
And it makes me all the more determined to find out how and why!
