Party Time

Who: Everyone who wants to attend.
What: It's a party for all, but the pairing up part is for singles only.
When: Day 19 of Fiddlesticks
Where: Gym Carriage
Warnings: Who knows atm just Minako being Minako will add more as things happen.

[Minako figured she did the best she could for the party. Though she also wondered if perhaps she might not have that many people come. Sure she wanted to put singles together, but at the same time, she simply wanted people to have fun.

In the dressing carriage, people will find costumes and masks that were more gothic in nature. There was food and hopefully some forms of sweet treats for those looking for it as well as a variety of drink, mostly non-alcoholic.]

[ Hey, even if it had been that angle, Madoka would have accepted it. Easily. But she does know the other well enough to know it's not what Ple Two meant anyway, and so she doesn't stop smiling. ]

Well, I know it's hard, but.. let's not pay attention to anyone around us.

[ Especially not if they're rude enough to judge their lack of dancing skills! Although it'd probably still make Madoka feel bad.. ]

Let's just.. [ Madoka blushes. ] .. pay attention only to each other.

[ Don't accept being terrible Madoka! ]

Right. ...r-right. Just...

[ She takes a deep breath. ]

Just the two of us. No matter... what.

[ It sounds... nice. ]

[ They may both be a combination of nervous and flustered, but at least Ple Two does genuinely seem to like the idea, as far as Madoka can see. So with a smile on her face she starts gently dragging the other along out onto the actual dance floor.

The first steps are always the hardest. Especially when it feels like so many people could be watching them, and Madoka is sure she's going to look ridiculous. But she wants to at least try and be brave and be the one to start dancing if Ple Two seems just as worried about it as her.

So she does. She sucks in a deep breath and just dances, trying to give the other an encouraging (though still nervous!) smile as she does so. ]

[ It involves Madoka - holding her, and being close. Even in front of whoever else might be here...

They're very close in height and Ple Two is, at least, quite nimble, almost making up for not knowing how to dance and being incredibly nervous. Just gotta not step on Madoka's feet. ]

S-simple.

[ Don't worry, Ple Two, as if Madoka wouldn't instantly forgive you the moment you'd step on her toes! ]

You're doing well..

[ Sure, neither of them are anywhere near excellent dancers, but it's not empty flattery. Madoka genuinely seems to mean it, judging by the smile she's giving the other girl. ]

I-- I'm sure there will be a lot of opportunities for us to dance together after this too.. So we can slowly learn together.

[pleple]

[ But she shouldn't! Hurt! Madoka's! Toes! ]

...neither of us are.

[ Ple Two just laughs, briefly. ]

...but it's... I like it...

[ Madoka doesn't sound surprised as much as she sounds hopeful. Sure, she likes it too, but dancing at least seems remotely closer to a list of possible activities someone who grew up normally like Madoka would enjoy compared to someone like Ple Two. ]

Dancing with you... anyways.

[ Maybe one or two other people could get her to dance and like it. That's probably about the limit for her. ]

A-Ah, well..

[ She almost instinctively says that there's nothing all that special about dancing with her compared to dancing with other people! But she manages to hold it back at the last second when she realises the reason why Ple Two likes it with her of all people. It has nothing to do with the dancing itself as much as it has to do with their relationship, right?

Somehow that just makes Madoka's cheeks burn more though. ]

I'm.. glad. If I can make you like something. I didn't think I'd have this much fun doing this either...

[ There is something special. There always is. Ple Two leans a little closer (quietly compares their height; a bit closer than when they met, she thinks). ]

...there's... a lot I want to do with you. More than... um... anyone else. And you can pick things out too. Like this.

Are you sure..?

[ About the picking things part, that is. She doesn't doubt that Ple Two wants to do a lot of things with her - even though the fact about wanting to do it more with her than anyone else makes her blush a bit. ]

I mean.. I wouldn't want to ever make you uncomfortable. If you didn't like something I'd pick, for example..

[ It's not like Ple Two knows much of what they can do together, to be fair. ]

I... I'll tell you if I really dislike something, at least.

Okay. [ At least Madoka trusts Ple Two to not be too harsh about it if Madoka makes a very dumb choice of date or activity..!! ]

Maybe I could ask the train sometime if it could bring us to a nice location for.. um, well, a date.. [ No way she can say that without blushing. ] It did it before when someone asked for snow, right?

[ If it involves Madoka she'll do a lot of silly things. Preferably not in front of other people. ]

...it would be nice for a lot of us, wouldn't it be?

R-Right! I'm sure other couples must have been dealing with that problem too..

[ Since there aren't exactly a whole lot of date locations on the train. Especially not with how many people there are around - there's just nowhere to get some privacy! ]

And we've been working so hard.. It wouldn't be selfish to ask a little bit in return from the train. [ She pauses, before hesitating in that typical Madoka fashion and adding-- ] .. Would it?

It's too crowded.

[ Ple Two is already nervous over public displays of affection, jeez. ]

...it wouldn't be the bad kind of selfish. It's okay to... want things. Right?

[ What a question to ask. It's exactly the thing both of them are bad at, isn't it. It's so obvious too, since Madoka seems to visibly struggle with the question for a moment before she finds a way she can answer it and actually sound determined about it.

Hint: the way is by turning the answer away from herself, which immediately makes it so much easier to answer. Ple Two deserves everything. ]

Of course that's okay..! I-- I mean.. I think it seems like you've had a really rough time before. Back home. So.. you should be allowed to want things now. And to ask for things. The world has a whole lot to make up for you..

[ The most inspiring thing in the world is wanting to take care of Madoka - at least lately. Madoka should be happy, so she'll get there however works.

And Madoka gives her the cop out answer. ]

Okay.

But part of what makes me happy is you being happy. So... seek what you want as well.

[ The tips of her ears grow red in shame at the semi-call out of her avoidant answer. ]

I.. I'll try. [ That's the best thing that's at the same time actually honest that she can say here, right? ] I'm not.. really good at that. Um, at asking for stuff for myself, I mean.. I feel like other people deserve things first. I don't mind being last in line..

[pleple]

[ Sometimes you gotta make a call out post for your own girlfriend. ]

I... I'll take care of you, then.

[ 'I will beat up the line'. ]

And... uh. ...we could practice...? Wanting things...?

I-Is that something you could practice, you think..?

[ She sounds willing enough to believe it if Ple Two thinks so, judging by the tone she asks it with. ]

I have no idea.

[ They should ask... an... adult? ]

Uh. ...but we could try.

[ Honestly, that's where Madoka's train of thougth is headed at the moment. Because clearly both of them suck. And it doesn't seem like the train currently has any self help books about this topic - and that'd be kind of cold and clinical for a thing like this, right?

So although it's a little hesitant, she slowly suggests: ]

Um.. Do you think maybe someone could help us with it..? [ Someone they both trust? ]

[ They've got sorta-parents they can talk to about things.

Tony Stark is very good at taking care of his own needs, but maybe too good? ]

[ She lets out a small breath - the sound makes it very clear that Madoka thinks the same. ]

Me neither.. Although.. um, with how many people we know here, I know for sure that one of them will be the right one! So I'll make sure to think about it and see if I can find anyone, okay?
